I could get used to this kind of thing. What a win/win for the program and the young men who get to set themselves up with a postgrad degree from one of the country's best schools.

You have to love a kid that recognizes the value. I'm with you, I'd love to see 1 or 2 a year if the #s allow.

For those wondering, Avery absolutely loves ND so far, and has made fast friends with Max Redfield. And speaking of safeties, went to the barber shop this morning, and Elijah Shumate is friggin' yoked. Bigger than before.

What's the deal with this? Almost everyone on the team yoked up over the offseason. That pic of Jaylon and Day shows them looking huge. But every player on the team seemingly put on a bunch of muscle in the offseason. Not just a little either, but rather everybody looks huge. Just seems strange because it's the first year under BK/Longo where we have seen improvements on this level. Wonder what changed.

Not saying you're wrong but have you seen anyone besides Jaylon looking huge? Day looked the same to me in that picture and it would make sense that Jaylon would start looking more like the freak we know he's going to be entering his first season as an upperclassman.

Yeah. Pretty much everyone. Robinson, Folston, Day, Jaylon, Redfield, Shumate, Farley, McGlinchey, etc. Pretty much everyone.

twitter, instagram...

don't forget malik, brent, kvr

damn I guess I just assumed they'd get posted here. Jaylon did look huge in that one picture but that's the only one I've really seen. Malik looked big in that one "doing work" video. I remember KVR stuff a few months ago and yeah he's freaking ripped but that was when he was away from the team IIRC. Exciting stuff.

Thanks Bogs. The interesting thing is that scUM fans were pretty happy when he left. Guess you don't know what ya have until it's gone!

Aaron Wellman to ND | mgoblog

So the real question is, "What does the Michigan fan base have over Tennessee?" *

Amazing Blue, or IncrediblyBlue??

* Wonder if he has half the success at ND that HH, a clear failure at Tennessee did?

Am laughing.

Yeah, a lot of them have been posted on here, but they are littered throughout all of the threads. Mostly Vines and Twitter posts. See... this is why we need Koon. He certainly would have put together a thread cataloging all shirtless pics by now. It is his specialty.

Summer hypertrophy phases are pretty common. Add some muscle in the offseason. in the end, it's mostly about explosive power development. Most of these guys are very competent, it's incredibly difficult to be a college strength coach with practice time limitations, a difficult course workload, and the independent variables of stress, nutrition, girlfriend problems etc. the field has come a long way with HRV preparedness and GPS tracking on top of advanced tendo units and such.

Lol, not that far off. Though maybe not as much in the college game.
I think you would be shocked at the amount of people using PEDs. Quite frankly, you pretty much have to be an idiot to get caught.

Alright a little off topic, but does anyone else think he looks like the running back from the movie The Replacements?

I've been very happy with this program the last two years. We're bringing in guys that want to be here for more than just football and can contribute to the team and community. Going forward I hope we continue to look at this avenue as a way of improving the team.
