I bought my son the new Elder Scrolls Tamriel Unlimited game for XBox 1 over the weekend. Seems like they changed a lot of the fighting controls. It seems a lot more like the Dragon Age Inquisition controls than the old Skyrim controls. When I played Skyrim, I loved the controls for archery. You can do a lot more combination attacks, it seems, with the new Elder Scrolls game, but I'm not sure I'm going to like it as much as the old fighting system. It is also a little goofy to have random characters just running all over the place for no apparent reason. I'm sure when my son's friends get the game, he'll team up and he'll enjoy it, but not sure it is for me. I haven't played it yet, so I'll have to see.

E3 talk people...

I want:

-COD3 Zombie details (My wife loves zombies so that's like 'our game'), I hear zombie mode is going to be much more open this time around and truly function as it's own game... can confirm???

-Red Dead 2 details... sequel to the greatest story based game ever? yesir.

-Star Wars BF... I need more info please.

-FIA 16, I want to know if they, 1.) expanded the MLS experience in game and 2.) won the rights to UEFA CL... I would also like to know if they are ever going to allow for multi player Manager Mode, where you can manager two or more teams at once.

Last two aren't for this year obviously but...

-NCAA Football... there will be another game some at point sooner or later, I'm curious if any status is hinted at/discussed/given at E3... even just a sentence blurb on what to expect in the coming years(s) would be nice.

-Elder Scrolls, what's the deal, time frame and expectations for the next ES game?

I just read that XB1 will be backwards-compatible with XB360 after a "Holiday" update. Everything will be compatible, it just depends on the developer giving approval. They already have 100+ titles lined up and green-lit for backwards compatibility.

Were there any 360-only games that I should put in my Amazon wish list? I had PS3 before XB1, so I'm not familiar with what I may have missed.

Oh no....not this bitch again...not going to argue that there are plenty of sexist games out there, but if she's going to attack awesome stuff like Lego and Fallout, fuck her. For awhile I thought she just craved the attention and was trolling, but it seems pretty clear here that she cannot go through her day without finding sexism in every damn thing that exists.

Yes to these three for sure. I'll take a Red Dead game before GTA any day. Will there really be another NCAA Football game someday though? I thought that was a pretty open and shut case, that schools were no longer interested in pursuing it after the Ed O'Bannon shit.

There's a market for it... They'll find a way at some point. I saw a round table on OP Sports a while back and they were talking like they expect college baseball and basketball games to re emerge also... more a matter of when was the impression I got.

I really don't see what the issue would be on a new NCAA football game as long as the stock rosters are completely random. Random numbers, heights, weights, skin tones, home towns, ratings, etc. etc.

Just offer a customizable option on the side, and BAM! Free of any responsibility.

I'm actually pretty surprised no developer has jumped on this for at least the PC... give us great game play and realistic season(s)/career in cfb... have everything else, I mean everything be a generic version with editable options, the community will take it from there...

Also, I picked up NCAA Basketball 2010 for PS3 the other day, out of simple curiosity. Never played the basketball games, so I'll open it up one night and sink some time into it.

Strong showing by Microsoft today. Nothing yet that really makes me want to pick up an XBone but they did a good job of showing some upcoming titles. Cuphead looks awesome for the visual style alone. Dark Souls 3 looks like it will be coming to Xbox as well as PS so that's good news for them as well because I didn't know after Bloodborne whether or not From Software was a PS second-party developer.

Can they even still offer the ability for players to customize rosters like that? I realize that the users would be the ones actually violating the rules, but the developers are the ones giving them the tools to do it with that very intention. Maybe I'm thinking of a different discussion, but I thought that was also part of the problem.

I seriously hope they do come out with a new NCAA Football game. I'm extremely disappointed that they had to can it one year before the Playoff emerged. On top of that there are some minor annoyances with NCAA '14 as far as bugs and issues that will always plague the game now that it's the last in the series. There's also the fact that one day, and probably soon, EA will pull the plug on the football servers which will kill any and all Online Dynasties.

I imagine that would be a difficult thing to prove in court since every sport game of the last two decades has had a roster customization feature.

Best game going... Advice, as you progress upward on difficulty, sit high fastball on everything but two strike counts... And jump on the high stuff... Then go with contact to stay alive on the two strike counts. You'll see many more pitches, draw walks and score more runs... It gets very difficult to hit 'arcade' style once you get to all star or higher, but if you sit high fastball it's doable, fun, and more realistic than swinging at everything... I'm on hall of fame+ hitting and still scoring runs this way.

Thanks. How many games a week do you play? I only play 2-3 games a week and on Veteran hitting I am averaging about 3 runs a game.

I play this game every year and this year I'm playing about... 6-10 games a week... Everyone is different but I suggest dynamic difficulty ( what got me to hall of fame hitting) ... You'll score more runs sitting high fast ball with guess pitch... Even if it's out of the zone high and you guess it you can clobber it... Of course if I have two strikes I guess low change or curve or whatever out pitch that pitcher has... I don't swing at shit until I get a high or inside pitch or I have two strikes... Highly recommend it I've played this games for years and have never hit nearly as well as I have this year using this mindset. HOF difficulty used to be unthinkably hard for example.

Another big word of advice is find the camera that works for you... I hit so much better from one particular camera, offset zoom I think it is. Its much easier to judge ball/strike from certain cameras...
