So glad that Jon pic was not 100% accurate.

Lena Headey Emmy?
Show Reek didn't feel powerful enough to me. Reek 1 was one of the most messed up pieces of literature I've ever read. Show Walk of Shame nailed it.

Walk of Shame was clearly the highlight of the episode. Was glued to the TV.

So to recap where we are with book vs. show...

1. Daenarys and Tyrion storylines are relatively accurate and without major spoilers.
2. Brienne is alive in the show and her story was altered significantly.
3. Stannis is presumably dead in the show but alive in the books.
4. Jon's storyline is relatively accurate.
5. Sam is headed to the Citadel like in the books.
6. Arya's story is relatively accurate.
7. Sansa has taken over Jeyne Poole's story with Theon.
8. King's Landing--relatively accurate.
9. Jaime--who knows
10. Dorne--who knows

Looks accurate?

Yeah, think so. Only thing bugging me is the difference of some of those. I guess we'll see though if TWOW ever comes out. Sansa storyline seems to be way out of line, same for stannis but maybe the first stannis chapter will take care of that. Jaime...like you said who knows, same for Myrcella.

Well we know Dorne is going to war for sure now, just not because of Faegon rallying the banners.

I also like Tyrion taking control of Mereen in Dany's absence, since Selmy isn't around to do it. It makes sense, and was bound to happen, but it's nice to see confirmation hat he will be crucial to Dany's plans in the books for sure (again, not that there was actually any doubt).

Also, it's very clear that Melisandre is bringing Jon back, at least more so than ever. In the books, you wonder where her motivation to do so would come from. But the show has made it clear that she now has nowhere else to turn.

Starting to wonder if the Bolton banners burning was a correct premonition but it's going to be a Wildling army led by Jon Snow doing it instead of Stannis?

It's going to have to be that. Melisandre literally has nowhere else to turn to find her "Prince that was Promised."

I remember her being skeptical about Thoros and the Kiss of Fire, saying she had never done it... Well, that bitch better start now, dammit. Breath that sweet, hot, beautiful life back into Jon Snow. You've got no other options!

Except maybe Dolorous Ed. Dolorous Ed as AA????

Also, ya'll know we aren't gonna get confirmation that Jon lives until S6E10, right?

There will be a "previously on..." that shows Thoros and Mel talking about The Lord's Breathe" before the finale, and then we'll see her gingerly walking Jon Snow out from whatever nook/cranny she finds for his body.

Credit to reddit for this but per the show....Balon Grejoy.....is the last king standing.

Although I'm not convinced Stannis is dead on the show.

more on Snow...

from
‘Game Of Thrones’ Shocks Fans With Record Body Count,
Confirms Death In Season Finale
For Game of Thrones fans wondering if Jon Snow really died, Harington confirmed his death in an interview with Entertainment Weekly posted after the episode aired. So yes, Jon Snow really is dead, at least on the television series.

“This is my understanding of it. I had a sit-down with Dan and David, we did the Tony Soprano walk [letting an actor know they’re being whacked]. And they said, ‘Look, you’re gone, it’s done.'”

And with that, Game of Thrones fans must wait the long months for Season 6. What did you think of the season finale of Game of Thrones?

People read too much, or not enough, from that article.

Yes of course Jon Snow is dead, he has just been stabbed a half dozen times For The Watch. He is bleeding out, or bled out. If only there was some way to save him. I doubt that woman in the red dress can do anything but look hot.

There are 5 characters that will survive through the end, or close enough to it that they had a major impact on the massive white walker/realms of men battle royale outcome.

Jon, Bran, Arya, Dany & Tyrion.

That Myrcella death got me more than anything. Damn. You know her and Tommen have to die at some point... but that was just so rough.

Thought they did the Jon scene well. Also liked how they handled Theon. And Cersei.

Really, just a super well put together episode. I need the 6th book badly.

Agree with everything...

though damn them for cutting away right before Stannis gets killed. I'm going to spend the next 9 months wondering if Brie went through with it (watch the clip again, the angle her sword is coming down at makes it completely plausible that she came down on the tree or his armor).

My one complaint was that the combination of the Walk of Shame and Jamie's talk with Myrcella seemed to have a very "incest-is-kewl-and-shame-on-you-for-ever-thinking-otherwise" message.

Vis a vis Kit telling everyone he's off the show, it's possible that Jon's resurrection involves warging so that body really is dunzo. Or he's just full of shit.
