Loved the visit in many ways. His uncle played for BK. The staff wants him to camp this summer.

Interesting story that came out a couple of days BEFORE he got the invite to Junior Day.

LB Noah Burks on Maryland offer: ‘It’s definitely one of my top 3 schools' - Testudo Times

Burks, the No. 5 player in the state of Indiana according to the 247Sports Composite, is still generating interest from programs around the region, but for now, holds the Terps in high standing.

"I’m only basing my top three off of schools that have currently offered me, so right now, it would be Maryland (1), IU (2) and Illinois (3)," he said. "Based off schools, I have interest in, Michigan is up there because I grew up a fan, Notre Dame, Ohio State are up there too."

He said the M word. Still want.

Michigan "dream school"....Hmm!
Maryland the leader at this point isn't that scary. I think the staff can be real selective here with the pull from last year. Couldn't believe how he could keep his train of thought through that interview with all of the noice. Articulate kid.

You are right, he did a great job in that interview. That's one thing that always stands out for me when watching the Irish players in front of the mic, they are used to it and for the most part usually look polished.

The Michigan dream school part is funny. I know after speaking to his dad that he comes from a big time ND loving family. We all have the one black sheep in each of our families that wants to root for the odd ball team. That's ok, most outgrow it.

I'd love to see an offer asap for Noah. He has proven big time speed, he has earned his rep against a top flight HS conference and he has some interesting genetics working in his favor. His dad is a big guy, DL sized big guy. Noah could possible stay on the outside with his speed - if the coverage skills evolve, move inside when the weight comes or with the simple addition of 35lbs over the next two years move to DE. Very possible that all 3 are options depending on how his body is molded. It's also very possible that he ends up a 6-3, 250+ pounder regardless. All I know is from his tapes and what people are saying about him, he is for REAL football fast and that doesn't grow on trees.

Wiltfong loves him and that will keep him in the limelight. Hope it all works out

Wiltfong CB'd him to Maryland.

Wiltfong won't be wrong on this one, he too close to the family. I wonder if Burks is going to pop a verbal here soon but still keep the lines open for ND and Michigan?

While he could turn out to be a great player, I don't think we missed out here.

If he turns out great at Wisco and one LB from this year's haul doesn't pan out... the Irish missed. He has a extremely high ceiling.

Not a big loss. You can make an agruement for offering Burks and Tucky, but LB is one position ND has done very well at over the past couple years and I doubt it changes this year.

If he pans out and hits that high ceiling agree. What our LB's do doesn't matter in regards to this.

I really don't think he has that high of a ceiling. Decent player but noting ND missed on IMO

Ended up a 2 year starter in years 4 & 5. Wasn't a difference maker I thought he could be but he was solid and had to wait his turn behind some quality LB's in Madison. Was Academic B1G too.

Typing this because of the broken bowl trophy tonight. Saw this pic and thought... that moment you realize you didn't get to play at ND and all you have to show for it is a trophy from the Dollar Tree.

watched the game and he had a nice INT but he looks very big and not sudden to be a LB at ND.
