When I think hip hop tho, it's all West Coast's emergence... All eyes on me, the chronic, doggystyle, g funk... There was just an unreal run of about four years there where it really hit new heights.

I am 27 and feel like I am the perfect age to appreciate ALL music.

I took music appreciation class from 9th grade through college. Studied it all from buddy Holly to Roger&Hammerstein.

I enjoy country, rap, blues, hip-hop, R&B, soul, rock, heavy metal, grunge, reggae, ballads, etc, etc....

There isn't a song mentioned in this thread I haven't heard.

Music is truly about what strikes your emotions, makes you want to dance, think, motivate, create, cope, relate, survive!

There is no wrong or right in music. Just inspiration!

Sam Lachow is great. 80 bars is him rapping over other songs. His stuff is even better, IMO.

never heard of Sam Lachow...i like his flow and lyrics but his songs are all ruined by the people that he features and his hooks are annoying...any other rappers like him out there ?

I like Wale's new album. It doesn't have much as far as replay value, but i love the concept of the album and it's what I'd consider "mood music". Lyrics are good and I like him building off the mixtape about nothing/ Seinfeld concept.
