Dude... You still go to shows with your Mom? Awesome!

.

You'd be surprised, but she's seen Rush like 20 times. She's also seen Yes, Pink Floyd, ELP, Parliament, REO Speedwagon, Led Zeppelin, Motorhead, Judas Priest and several others.

I'm going by myself to the one in SJ, but my family lives near Atlanta, so if she buys tickets, I'd definitely considering going there too and taking time off.

You're lucky. I'm 23 and I have the musical tastes of a 50+ year old, so needless to say, I'm quite the riot at parties.

I've been on a Metallica kick lately. Currently listening through their whole catalog from start to finish, chronologically, on Spotify.

I'm in a Bluegrass state of mind:

<iframe width="420" height="315" src="https://www.youtube.com/embed/B4sqishGuYw" frameborder="0" allowfullscreen></iframe>

<iframe width="420" height="315" src="https://www.youtube.com/embed/xMxIYq0Csqw" frameborder="0" allowfullscreen></iframe>

and for a more contemporary take:

<iframe width="420" height="315" src="https://www.youtube.com/embed/Aoq-aJE6Jd4" frameborder="0" allowfullscreen></iframe>

It's still "old" I know, and has more of a C&W edge, but I like it.

Lot's of Garth Brooks, Fleetwood Mac, and The Who playing around the house and car lately. Going to see Garth this week in Denver (taking some clients), FM next week, and The Who next month. Thinking this will be the last Who tour (at least with the primary members).

I saw The Who back in 2006. Still glad I saw them then. I just wasn't sure I'd enjoy them this time around.

A buddy of mine saw them in London last year. Said they still sounded skrong. They are coming to a small venue outside of Atlanta (Gwinnett Arena - 13,000 seats). Couldn't pass up the opportunity (got pre-sale tix).

I've had a good time with my Telecaster and some Buck Owens records this weekend.

Been playing the bands of the 60's British Invasion the last week.

Each week at work I set Pandora for something new. This week I'm going with Mitch Ryder and the Detroit Wheels.

I caught Steely Dan at Chastain Park. Classy joint there. Then I caught Nine Inch Nails and Janes Addiction at Lakewood... Hahahaha big difference. Still, my favorite small Atlanata venue is the Tabernacle

Laura Marling and Glen Hansard both released some new stuff today (though I guess official release dates are later...?)

Laura's is pretty good, but not quite comparable or complete as Once I was an Eagle, but some good songs nonetheless.

Glen's is an EP to honor Jason Molina. Not really my cup of tea, but may grow on me.

Just got back from the Fleetwood Mac concert. They haven't lost much if anything. LB was awesome on guitar and vocals. Amazing how good he still sounds. Love the concert except for the USC band on the big screen in back during Tusk LOL
