Curious to hear what you think. Maybe give us a breakdown on your thoughts.

Where did you get this info Lucky? I wonder if they are doing the same thing for the Orange Co Club at Silky Sullivan's in Fountain Valley? I'd much rather go there than drive into Hollywierd. Any chance I get to stay off LA freeways is always taken, even on a Sunday.

Loy posted it on the Irish247 board. This is the only one of mention. II (Sampson/Prister) used to do this at different times/places. Usually very infrequent so I can't imagine Loy will be doing this at a much more frequent pace. Also, Loy is from LA so I'm assuming thats why he doing there.

Gotcha. That's an additional 40 miles past where the Orange Co club meets. And as you know, 40 miles can turn into 4 hours in LA with a protest, accident or high speed chase like yesterday's. Hollywierd it is then. Yay fun.

Disregard the PM and thanks!

This is Monday the 23rd now? I'm out. Not fighting rush hour traffic from Laguna to Hollywood. Actually, I would have been out had it been tomorrow. The Oscars will have much of Hollywood closed down tomorrow night... which is why I'm sure it was moved to Monday. Bummer, I was looking forward to this.

Anybody else going? I had a change of plans and think I can bug out of OC at 2 so I can beat the traffic up to Hollywood.

Odd location and day. That time and day is pretty impossible for me, I would probably get there around 8. lol

I know... I'll be done by 3:30 and I'm wondering if I make it there on time through 60 miles of carmageddon or if I'll have an ounce of sanity remaining.

Was hoping for a second member to volunteer to be a seat filler for HOV access.

No such luck yet.

So we made the trip up to Hollywood for the get together. Glad I went. Only 7 people there and the guy I'm sitting next to...I grew up playing basketball with in Michigan City, IN. Haven't seen him since he was at ND in the early 80's. He's lived in Japan for the past 20 years. THAT'S a small world story for the ages.

Anyways, after the 2015 class report was done, we talked for a few hours about the coaching staff, the future, 2016 and 2017 recruiting. TL is a good egg. It was interesting to get a feel for his situation. LA kid who liked UCLA basketball and FSU football (two strikes) but you can really tell he likes and has bought into what ND is about. He's a good ambassador for ND, not just a hack shoving a mic in kids' faces.

He's gonna be working the Orange Co teams while he's out here. Very good.

A few take aways from the night.

ND is on QB Devon Modster, his OC is former ND TE Oscar McBride. No offer yet but probably soon.

He thinks LB Noah Burk from Carmel, IN will have an offer soon.

He doesn't see EG back at ND in the fall.

Really nothing more to say than what we have talked about here a gazillion times. Just thinks he's going to go where he knows he's the man and can work on his resume for Sundays.

I always assumed that if he was not named the starter coming out of spring practice that there was a good chance he would transfer. I don't blame him when he wants to start his last year and isn't sure that he will at ND when he likely would at another school. None of us know what is going through his head though anyone's guess is as good as mine.

I love ND like few others. If I were in EG's exact situation, I'd go through spring ball and if I can't get CBK to tell me I'm the #1 QB who will get the vast majority of the snaps, I graduate and head to an East Carolina or any school that is going to let me throw the ball so I can work on my Sunday game. Personally, I don't think he will ever stick in the league but he could make some money in the Arena league or possibly Canada and there's nothing wrong with that but if he wants to chase the Sunday dream... and I think he should (or at least I would)... that has to be done somewhere else if he's not the starter.

Now talking as a fan, I hope he stays and accepts a back up role if he doesn't win the QB competition in the spring.

not liking sounds of that little bit on Golson above...he's crazy if he leaves if u ask me. he's gonna see the field plenty in 2015 no matter who is "named the starter."
not every qb is a Russell Wilson...

ps BK whats to prevent BK from naming him the starter anyway (in order to keep him)regardless of what his real intentions are.

Because in the long run, manipulating guys that way bites you in the ass, and BK's been a coach long enough to know that he's better off being a straight shooter.
