Mack is definitely up there. Notre Dame isnt slow playing Mack and Mack is higher on the board than Corley. Corley is a tier two type of receiver and wouldnt be a bad pickup, but he isnt on the list of elite WRs they are after in 2016.

Sorry I meant for it to read that the staff may be slow playing Corley. Honestly I would take Corley right now if he wanted to commit this weekend.

FWIW, this may not be the whole story but if what 247 is saying is true this is a colossal F up by the staff. Instead of getting some very good prospects on campus this weekend Bk is at the Super Bowl and MSU is hosting one of our prospects and a bunch of others. OSU did last weekend. I have to keep in mind that the intial spin was that kids didn't want to come either but I have a hard time believing that when 247 initially confirmed with each individual kid that he was coming.

Who was supposed to be on Campus this weekend besides Corley? First thought for me is Why have a Junior Day so early in January I'd rather it be nice out so kids can enjoy the campus and maybe not have to look at snow?

What's the big deal? Recruiting for the 2016 class doesn't start until January, 2016.

Per Irish247 he's a top priority for Coach Gilmore. Gilmore is familiar with Corely's HC and spoke to one of assistants for an hour the other day. They have another player there as well 2017 DB Ambry Thomas who will be coming with the Corley's as well. Could become a national recruit.

MLK is a very good program in Detroit. Very similar to Cass Tech, maybe not as elite academically, but rival in terms of football. This year MLK are especially loaded, would be a great school to start a pipeline at.

It sounds like having Gilmore recruiting Michigan will be a great move. He seems to have solid relationships there already. We're sitting in pretty good position for 3 Detroit area kids. Corley, Khalid Kareem, and Michael Taylor.

I would love for us to steal some elite kids from SCUM here in the mitten. Lyght went to high school in michigan as well, not in detroit, but Michigan none the less. Pipelines at Harrison (Khalid's school) and MLK (Donnie's school) would be huge for the future.

Any updates on this one? Apparently Sparty just got a commitment from a 4 star QB, Messiah deWeaver, and he said that Corely would be a top priority. I know they all say stuff like that, but since it's been quiet since his visit (only a month, I know), was wondering if MSU gaining ground on us as others thought Corley had ND at top of his list
