The kid is a recruit at a position of need and from a talented state. I hope we lock this up.

I think he is a good prospect, but doesnt have the ceiling Reid or Meadors have. He isnt the elite guy, but Redfield and Shumate were considered elite and they have had many ups and downs. Farrar is a smart football player. He is out of position some, but you will have that when you have superior athletic abilities to everyone else on the field. He has the vision and football smarts to easily get better at the next level with this.

I think it would he would be a good pickup for the Irish and gives them a SS that can do everything BVG wants in a SS. He can blitz, play the run and he is aggressive in coverage. He has a lot of talent to work with and to shape.

The difference between Reid, Meadors and Farrar is that Farrar isnt going to get a ton bigger or explosive. Meadors has a body frame to add weight and that will only enhance his great speed and athleticism. Reid is closer to Farrar in that they both are physically advanced, but Reid is a little more explosive in close quarters in my opinion.

But, overall Farrar would definitely be a big a pickup for ND and he would definitely help in the redzone being a bigger guy that can get physical.

Six classifications in Georgia with 6A being the highest (based on # of students). Woodward Academy is 4A. Competition is excellent. In Georgia great players can be found in every classification. Nick Marshall played at Wilcox Co. one of the smallest public HS's in Georgia but you knew he was a talent.

Well in Michigan City, In we got about 8 inches of snow already so the Confidence should now be high. Its snowing so bad that you can barely see 2ft in front of you. One of my employee came from south bend and said it was just as bad if not worst.

Nice, I have a couple buddies that live up there. I'm in Coloma and I know Wooly isn't far either, just a little south, closer to campus.

Anyways, about Farrar...let's hope he's loving the visit and the storm just lets him stay a little while longer. We sure could use a safety of his caliber. Even if he's not the ideal FS we're looking for, one of Farrar, Williams, Fertitta and White could be coached into that role. I'm kind of thinking White might be our most likely FS in this class.

Not a great update. They are hearing it is more 50/50 with Wisconsin then a slam dunk for ND per a source.

Yep, complete shit show if we miss. Granted one could argue that he is an SS/OLB isn't a huge position of need but the point I make is we have an 8-5 season and this is the effort our coach is giving. I'm not one to make ultimatums or bold statements but we damn well better see 10+ wins next year.
