I never said Grant wasn't a firat rounDer. In fact, I've only said he was a first rounder. I just pointed out that he needs to get stronger so he doesn't get pushed out of the lane against bigger defenders as i see that as his only weakneas. Which translated on here to he can't dribble and he shoots with 2 hands, Lol.

He was awesome tonight and if Jackson stays aggressive like he was for that 2 minute stretch tonight, this team is deadly.

Wow what a great game! Wish I was there in person to watch it because the JACC looked like it was rocking.

Can't wait to beat their sorry dukie asses again in 10 days! Duke 0-2 in the JACC since ND joined the ACC.

I think the way the team is playing right now, is great.

ND has to show up for the ACC Tourney.

If they do, a 1-3 seed is very probable.

I'm leaning towards a 2 seed right now.

I was happy to see players telling students to not rush court- shows this team has head on straight and realize this is just one small step with lots of work to be done. That being said, GREAT F'IN WIN!!

Actually, after watching him play less than a half of basketball, you claimed he was "too weak to play big-boy basketball", which, considering how well he played last year against undefeated Ohio St and this year against teams like MSU, I said at the time was laughable, and is just as laughable now.

But instead of just saying you were wrong or you messed up on your wording, you tried to defend your stance for your next 20 posts LOL. Like I said then, he could definitely bulk up, but he was and is plenty strong enough to play big boy basketball.

I am embarrassed to ask this but I must. I have only followed ND Football unless you consider my March Madness bracket when I put ND in the final four ever year. Did anyone expect this type of season on the hardwood? I have never watched this much ND Basketball. Go Irish

Great game. So impressed with JG, really played well all night. DJ had a real hot stretch that ignited the second half comeback. Vastoria hit a huge three, PC was his usual Mr. Everything, but I have to tip my hat to Bonzi. Awesome game by the big frosh, came to play today and hit a clutch free throw to boot. Oh yeah, Coach Brey is a gangsta.

Notre Dame has plenty of good teams under Mike Brey. A typical Mike Brey coached team is usually good for 22 wins or so and a 5 or 6 seed in the tourney.

This year is totally different, and it was unexpected by me. Jerian Grant is playing like a top 20 draft pick, Auguste is being productive on the post, Pat is having another great year, DJ is the most improved player in the ACC, and VJ is one of the best 6th men in the country IMO.

I'm sure Notre Dame will lose 2-3 more games. But this is the most athletic team Brey has had and they could be looking at a 2 or 3 seed come March

Being a potential top 5 basketball team, I highly doubt anyone realistically believed that. I do think everyone expected the offense to be very effrcient.

Brey has his short comings, but winning at home and keeping games close has never been an issue.

I've always been in the camp that in college bball, one elite scorer is all u need. And right now we have one in JG.

Look at uconn's last two championships.

I just hope this season translates into big time recruiting.

We're looking at the possibility of only one starter returning if some get the nba itch (or bad advice).

He blocked it.

The Irish are GROWN MENtally. So nice to see young adults playing college ball instead of a bunch of spoiled 18 year olds in Lexington.

And Jackson is feeling it right now.

.

Wrong. Unless you have DVR and can forward frame by frame you won't see it.

I don't think anyone could honestly say they expected 20-2 at this point. This success is due to everyone improving from the year before, not an easy task for a team. Lots of guys have off seasons. or plateau.

Jackson had a pretty rough freshmen season, considering he came in as a McDonald's All-American. But he was capable of being superb and is arguably the ACC's most improved player.

Auguste had a promising freshmen season in 2012-2013, showing athleticism and length down low that Notre Dame hasn't had under Brey, but he plateaued last season if I'm remembering it correctly. He's improved a ton this year.

Vasturia was a guy highly touted by Brey and had a decent freshmen season. I remember being there for the Ohio State implosion last season when Brey subbed him in and he took big time free throws for the team...he missed but that's not the point: Brey had confidence in him from day one. He's improved as one would hope.

Connaughton and Grant have been assets for years but have stepped up their leadership, toughness, and consistency in my opinion.
