Early favorite would be BGSU in my opinion.

wow i really thought Miami (OH). In home state, and a familiar face as HC. Obviously you know him, but was my initial reaction when i saw the grouping. Purdue and UConn should push hard however, really good player up for grabs here.

Eilar Hardy officially transfers from Notre Dame Fighting Irish to Bowling Green Falcons

BOWLING GREEN, Ohio -- Former Notre Dame safety Eilar Hardy will play his one remaining year of college eligibility at Bowling Green.

Hardy, who played in 15 games the last two years for the Fighting Irish, had asked for and been granted his release from Notre Dame after last season. He had said he was transferring to Bowling Green, but the decision wasn't officially announced until Thursday.

Hardy, a native of Reynoldsburg, Ohio, who recently graduated with a degree in sociology from Notre Dame, started two games in 2013. He totaled 35 tackles in his career with the Fighting Irish.

He missed the first eight games of the 2014 season while the university investigated him and four other players for possible academic dishonesty.

Didn't realize he graduated, good on him. Good luck at Bowling Green!

Two things:

1) What the hell is Purdue wearing?
2) It looked to me like he was trying to do some disruption to the ball as the carrier fell. Am I alone in that? I could see that either as him trying to punch the guy or just trying to knock the ball out.

I am admittedly biased because I personally know and love Eilar but I didn't see malicious intent as much as bodies flying around trying to make plays.

Watching the video i didnt see anything malicious either. Didnt lead with his head or leave his feet, looked like he was trying to break up a catch and the guy was going down at the same time. Personally i think its a normal football play, i hope he didnt get tossed for it

Oh ya, he got tossed... And I believe a few plays after his ejection, Purdue scored too.

Bowling Green did win the game in the end, scoring a rushing touchdown with like 9 or 10 seconds left.

Bad ejection IMO.

Unfortunate that the player became 'defenseless', but that happened after Hardy had already set his body to hit the receiver. If that player hadn't stumbled, it would have been a shoulder to chest hit.
