seriously? if so all he is going to hear is about miami. gross!

His uncle and coach is former NFL player Sedrik Irvin. Sedrik Irvin is cousins with Michael Irvin.

They are related. Sedrik played for Michigan State.

Anyone think we have a shot here? Love this kid's abilities. I'm still waiting for that game breaker in the slot for Kelly.

@AnnaHScout: 4-star ATH Tim Irvin of Miami (Fla.) Westminister maintains regular contact w/ Irish recruiting coord. T. Alford ($) Scout.com: Irvin likes what Notre Dame has to offer

-He is being recruited as an athlete; Alford told him that he could play running back or corner back.

-Talks to Alford often.

-No favorites yet and Notre Dame could get an OV.

-He wants to major in engineering or business. Education will be the most important part during his recruiting process

-He has family in Indianapolis so he's been to Indiana before

Wasn't it Will Muschamp that was accused of paying players the keep them happy his first time around at Auburn? I guess he's not wasting anytime.

Serious question to all: If it helped ND get higher quality players, would you care if they paid players? Not gonna lie, I wouldn't even care.

As long as its against the rules, I would definitely have a problem with them paying players.

No. Love ND, but I just really think it's bullshit that other programs clearly cheat and get away with it. Oh well.

Then you should be hoping that the NCAA raises the level, not that ND lowers to it.

We would all love for the NCAA to raise its standards, but we all know that isn't going to happen. I don't see why we would lower ours. We can get the talent. As long as we show how well rounded our team is this year, and have the players play with some heart. I hate to reference it, but what OSU did this year is something this team is capable of. Our defense is going to have a lot of speed, and talent. Still young, but experienced. The offensive line is going to be fun to watch motor the run game, with Tarean an Greg running all over teams. Zaire and Golson I think will be alright. Whoever is in I know can make the plays that need to be made and get the ball to the best WR in the country, Big Play Will Fuller, along with Chris,CJ,Torii, Corey, Justin etc. All this being said, if we can do what we need to do and get in the playoff to get our name out there for bigger 5 star recruits who only go to the best school in the country at that moment. If they see us win a natty, we can land some more 5s with a ripple effect all the way through the 3s.
Go Irish.

Kind of surprised to see Texas lose a recruit to a cash payment. Nothing against Coach Strong, but those bagmen often have a mind of their own.

This. There wasn't anything that happened in that NCG that had me saying "ND could not do this." That wasn't the case 2 years ago when Alabama stomped us into the ground (though to be fair, that Alabama team was arguably the best team since the '01 Hurricanes.). Our athletes are just as fast, just as big, just as strong, just as physical. It just comes down to staying healthy, keep developing and knowing your assignments.
