Who do you think has a better chance of getting in the Hall of Fame in 2015? Tim Brown or Jerome Bettis. Both will be in eventually.

Timmy will be in before Jerome. There was a little log jam at WR there, but he should be in soon.

I think they both go in either this time or next. Bettis is a top 10 career rushing yards its almost a shoe in for him.

The Bus is number 5 all time rushing I think. He's in at some point soon.

Bettis has a Super Bowl ring, as well. And, like it or not, stuff like that matters.

I see both not waiting too long to get in. Personally I'd go Brown first if I had to choose.

Bettis may be in the top 5 in rushing yards...
But Brown retired with 14,934 receiving yards, #2 in NFL history
1,094 receptions #3
100 touchdown catches tied for #3

Let's not forget...
3,320 punt-return yards #5 all time
A grand total of 19,682 combined net yards #5 all time at the time of his retirement.

He is also the only player ever to retire in the NFL's top five leaders for both receiving and return yards.

A man with that resume shouldn't have to wait even one year...let alone 2.

If I had to guess, Brown would get in first, but this is certainly a tough question. I think Bettis made a bigger name for himself, and I'd put him in first if it was me.

Resume speaks for itself.

I love Bettis but I am not sure he will get in. Just a hunch since he had a low YPC and was never consistently an All-Pro. Brown might get in this year but I think Marvin Harrison will be ahead of him.

Better Chance of Getting in the Pro Football Hall of Fame?

There are only 3 guys in the 10,000 yard club that averaged less than 4 YPC: Bettis, John Riggins, and Eddie George.

Riggins was a shoo-in, and so will Bettis. George will be left out, because if you let him in, you have to look at guys like Tiki Barber, Corey Dillon, Stephen Jackson, etc,,,.,

I think running backs are an interesting topic of conversation here because their careers are so short compared to receivers and QBs. I'm interested to see what they say about Edgerrin James. He had the best start to his career out of any running back in history, but he got hurt and it took him a little while to recover. From 03 to 05, he was back on top of his game. He was maybe the best running back in the league for a couple of years, but is that enough to get him in? What's better: consistency or the peak?
