I've no idea what we're talking about here at this point, but people who make the most important decision of their life based on the weather are doing it wrong.
No matter what school he chooses, I like to think Mr. Jones has more going on upstairs than that.

I don't think that it is based solely on weather otherwise he would be headed to University of Hawaii. But it could be a determining factor. Many recruits and their parents talk about weather as a factor to consider so pretending like it is not is delusional. Theses recruits are people and so are there parents and they do attend games of their children. ND and UCLA are great institutions and while ND is already a national brand, UCLA has been getting more and more exposure. I could easily see a case where a kid were to decide and the tipping point would take into consideration weather and location.
Either way, Mr Jones really can't make a bad decision if it is UCLA or ND, both are great schools. Now if he all of a sudden goes to The Univiersity of Houston, that is another story.

Whole bit is hilarious and he talks about why it's not okay for men to be openly sensitive. The very end, last 15 seconds or so, is directly about how men can't admit to being cold. Hilarious.

I propose a moratorium on weather discussions.

Cold weather makes hits and nicks and bruises sting a little longer, shoulder stingers happen more often it seems, muscle pulls and sprains seem to happen more often, and in general injuries just seem to linger longer. When you are cold you are naturally tense. Tension can lead to all sorts of injuries. Your body has a natural response to heat...sweat. When it is cold, your body hair can only grow so fast... I know we need to ice in the beginning of injuries to reduce inflammation but when rehabbing, heat is a good friend of almost any injury.

In Montana we get 100's in the summer and -20's in the winter. I prefer the summer heat over the winter cold 11 out of 10 times.

I live in Los Angeles. I've lived in South Bend. I understand the difference in climate between the two (and realize it may be even more of a factor for someone who's grown up in Nevada instead of New England like me). I also agree that Notre Dame and UCLA are both great schools and very good football programs. I just think that of all the factors that go into a decision like this, weather really shouldn't be in the top 15 - or worth much debate.

I'm from Northern Michigan so maybe I'm biased. I also didn't attend ND but I've been on campus a bunch in all the seasons. And I want to point out that the beautiful campus we all know turns magical (not to sound cheesy) once covered in snow. At least that's how it felt to me. I imagine guys like Greg and Tarean head off to class on January mornings thinking DAMN its cold! But as They're walking and looking around they must be thinking man this place is amazing, how lucky I am to be here. And those guys talk to recruits. Maybe It's not exactly a selling point but I think that magical feeling must happen to others besides me. And maybe the older guys from down south share information like that when the topic of weather comes up.

It shouldn't matter but it does. Even Coney tweeted how different it was for him. I just hope Alize comes because he seems like the type of kid that would succeed at Notre Dame with the HS he is coming from. Plus he is a STUD!

He again deleted the UCLA thing in his bio (twitter).

Sorry to ask, but are you viewing that from a desktop or mobile? Cause there was confusion before over this. The mobile will not show bio, regardless of whether it's there or not.

From my computer. Yesterday he had the whole UCLA thing in his bio (UCLAcommit, the eight clap hashtag) and now it disappeared. 100% sure about this.

I am hoping he is still torn on this decision. The longer it goes and the quieter he is I like ND's chances of a steal here. I am praying anyway...

Per Loy they continue to believe that Alize is moving towards ND and per one source the parents are on board now as well, if true huge development. A seperate source is indicating that UCLA is losing confidence in Alize ultimately ending up signing with them. Jim Mora is preparing to go after Chris Clark.

Hope Jones comes to ND and Clark stays at Michigan with Harbaugh...

They think this goes down to NSD. However, if UCLA goes after Clark and he commits then I could see Alize flipping sooner than that.

This would be huge for the pipeline. Let alone the fact that Jones is a stud. I would love to pull a kid or two from BG every year...

Really could care less about Clark, UCLA, Michigan, whatever. If we can wrap up with Jones and an RB I'd be quite happy with this class.

I'm torn on my thinking....Jones is the crown jewel....best athlete at the TE U. A.....must have....., but how valuable is he if we can only use him like we used Koyak this year? Where did our deadly seam pass to the TE go? or our must have 3rd and whatever yardage to the TE go? I was greatly disappointed in the position usage this year

I think that has more to do with the player than the offense. Clearly Kelly can do a good job of isolating the TE when that player is an exceptional talent. In fact Kelly has done a good job at isolating talent at WR/TE every year he's been at ND. Whoever the best talent is he puts in a position to be successful. Floyd, Eifert, TJ Jones, and Fuller

Murph, as pointed out by Kelly in most of his pressers, Golson missed wide open people down field, I'm sure the TE was one of those on many occasions.....I'd have to go back and reach a great deal of film, but I do remember Kodak being open a few times when Golson either took off running, or took a sack.
