We have four spots most likely. It will be TE/WR, RB, and S for sure with the best available next. Also, FWIW Loy thinks we end with Jones, ESB, Soso, and Buncom.

I'd take that in heartbeat. I'd love to get one more pass-rushing DE but those four would be dynamite.

If they all committed tomorrow, that'd bump the class up to #2.

It would have also been good enough to finish at #8 in 2014, #9 in 2013, and #7 in 2012. That's just plain ridiculous considering the huge amount of 3:s: studs in this class (eg Coleman, Guyton, Adams, White, etc).

Right, its fun to think about getting the #1 TE and the #2 RB in this class.

I have to admit I'm in the "take him no matter what because of his brothers" camp. That feels really shallow, though.

Happy to be shallow here too. No Italics

I hope he tuned in to watch Utah rip it for a total of 54 yards in the air last night. What a pathetic passing offense.

Scout: ESB visited Utah last weekend. No one seems to know where he will go. He will be at the USC/UCLA game and USC/ND game, no OVs set up.

Have you guys seen his numbers this year?

.

Yep. 28 Receptions for 379 Yards and 3 TDs.

He is his team's leading receiver. The team is run/pass, only average about 20 pass attempts a game, to 30 rushes. Travis Waller's completion percentage is only 55% to boot.

Realllllllllly glad we wound up with Wimbush vs. getting Waller.

Waller is not in the top 10 QB's in the LA / IE / OC area. Him going to Oregon is the best thing that happened to ND this cycle.

In regards to ESB... He may be the leading receiver but there is a sophomore who has nearly identical numbers but played in a few less games.

He's no Jeff Samardzija at the same age.

So this is really coming down to whether or not we'll recruit the brothers, it seems. Wiltfong posted that ESB will be Irish if we have a spot and show enough interest in the brothers. Utah is the primary competition which would make since, they are the only team actively recruiting all 3. Loy then followed with agreeing 100%, its the only aspect of his recruitment thats holding things up.

- The positive is the brothers seem to be quality ball players. The negative is I hate recruits dictating terms but if those terms are bring me in and you get my badass brothers, I think I'll be ok with that. ;)

Loy then posted that we're absolutely showing interest in the brothers but he doesn't think we offer this early. Believes they earn offers in time but not right now.

i dunno, i think it's just not worth the hassle in the end. You might keep them happy with offering all 3 but then what happens when they get to campus and one of them isnt getting playing time?

Scott Lol Schraeder says USC now leads for ESB

Probably because they had a WR decommit? USC may actually be interested again now though, still Schraeder's a joke. Biggins posted the other day that he talked with the Brown's and felt ND lead with Utah second. As of then nothing was even being attempted by USC or UCLA for an in home.

I don't think anybody knows, it sounds like Kirk might be favoring USC so that's why the decommit might of happend

Scout: USC did visit him at his school last week. He is pretty sure he will OV to USC in January. Does not sound in a hurry at all.

FWIW, reading the tea leaves over at BGI both Loy and Wiltfong seem to be strongly insinuating that the staff is insanely confident here. Both have CB's for ND and are now more confident than ever. Silent commit and announcing at UA game?

Me either and if it holds true, I'll be happy. However, holding a spot for a Cali kid hasn't worked out previously.

WELL if him and Crager(out of it now but prior) seem to be about the same, i would take him as it can't hurt w/ his younger bro who looks pretty explosive

Hard to read it any other way when you factor in Cager cancelling his visit.
