No contact from ND. Baylor, USC, and A&M have still been active with him.

Will probably take a couple officials, Southern Cal being one of them. A&M and Baylor are still recruiting him in addition to SC.

Asked about official visits this fall

"Oklahoma State, USC, Baylor, Texas A&M, and Ohio State or Notre Dame one of those two," Jones said.

Partially I think we focused elsewhere. We've given a tremendous amount of attention to Ty'son and Soso with Patrick and a few others getting a fair amount. I think Alford has found his kids and is making some inroads.

Definitely to Oklahoma State,” Jones said. “From there I’d have to let you know. I don’t think Oklahoma State wants me to take visits elsewhere but I do want to take advantage of the recruiting process. Go to some places like an Auburn or Ohio State or Notre Dame. It won’t be much. It would just be me getting out. The coaches from those places hit me up twice a month. I follow them on Twitter and they contact me. I’ll tell them I’m 100-percent and then they back off.”

Clearly Ronald doesn't know recruiting that well.. lol

Officially back in play.

Visitng for Louisville... unless Oklahoma State pays him to shut it down.

Just watched his film again. That 4.45 looks legit...he is quick AND fast. Was surprised he only caught one pass in his highlights and wasn't returning kicks and punts. Maybe issues with his hands? Was impressed that most of his run are right up the gut.

This is good. I'd love to see this guy sign up, but I'd be more than happy to see this interest light a fire under Soso

Originally thought he was a better and natural back then Jamabo. I dont know if that is still true but they are both elite backs. We are putting ourselves in great position with real playmakers.

Or they are using to speed Soso up, if you don't hurry we are gonna take someone else

I watched Soso tear it up in person against Allen, and came away more impressed in person than I am from watching his film. He is definitely FAST. That being said, I think if we could land 1 I would prefer it be Jones. Soso is a long strider and doesn't get in and out of his cuts nearly as explosive as Jones. Jones is on another level from Soso in terms of his cutting ability, acceleration, and the physicality he runs with. Soso looks to get outside and use his speed immediately on every run...Jones makes better cuts in the hole and runs with very active feet, hands and hips rather than just making one cut to the sideline to outrun everybody anytime he sees daylight. That works for Soso now, but will not translate as well in the long term. Jones is much better in right spaces, has more wiggle even though he still gets north and south very quickly and runs with more purpose on every carry. Soso's frame also concerns me and makes me wonder if he wouldn't be better suited at WR down the road.
I believe Soso is one of the best backs in the nation this year and would be delighted to have him go Irish, but Jones would be my preference between the two.

Question would be, could he maintain that speed and cutting ability with 20-25 more lbs to his frame?

I'm surprised more teams haven't tried to sell Soso as a WR. I'm sure there's a reason for that. But I'd take him as a WR at ND and grab Jones at RB.

He wants to be a Rb and he does seem like a TJ Yeldon type back
