If ND ever pulled a stunt like that I'd be beyond pissed.
If ND ever scheduled that school again I'd be beyond pissed.
I would love ND to kick their asses.
Yup, I'm sure you would. I don't want any part of it.
Can someone explain the PSU hate for me? Yeah, I know about the Sandusky thing, and while it is deplorable, the current team and coaching staff had absolutely nothing to do with it. Are there reasons beyond Sandusky why there's a lot of hate for them in this thread?
I understand if someone hates the school and always will because of it (I don't feel the same way, but I get if someone else does)... just wondering if there are reasons beyond that.
For the record, I'm with Lax. I would be very pissed if ND showed a complete lack of sportsmanship like that as well.
I've hated them my entire life.
Do we even know their refusal to shake hands had anything to do with the Sandusky situation? One would assume, but there wasn't anything I saw leading up to this that showed they had an issue with PSU.
I just want to know what they were trying to accomplish. I don't get it.

I don't think the handshake refusal had anything to do with Sandusky. Apparently there was a pregame altercation between the two teams and Maryland decided to refuse to shake hands. Pretty lame, IMO.
People would be pissing and moaning if this happened to ND. Typical little brother mentality of Maryland.
Let's say Maryland was added to our schedule every year for the foreseeable future. If they refused to shake ND's hands the very first game and then beat us at home by 1 point, we would want to absolutely murder them the next season.
They did this to try and create a rivalry, and I'm guessing that it worked.
