There were photos of him rushing the field at LSU last night and looking pretty jacked.

Does LSU not want him lol? He makes himself look like a desperate dude hitting on someones girlfriend by not just committing there.

Having been to a conference game in Death Valley, it's hard not to get jacked up by that atmosphere, and that game wasn't nearly as exciting as the one last night. Hell, I'd have been on the field with him after yesterday.

I know that everyone on this board is afraid of (or expecting) a flip, but let's not say he looks desperate or imply he's trying to earn a spot at LSU. He's a take for the Tigers and has been for a long time. This is just what you have to fight through when you want to go into a major SEC program's backyard to steal an elite player. He might flip, and he might not, but not every elite player is going to be as easy to read as Jaylon was. That's why they're referred to as recruiting "battles".

Just my 2 cents.

Probably a once in a lifetime experience for a kid from La who will not be attending that school?

Jerry was our first commit in this class, he has been committed since like June of 2013. He has never said a negative word against us, he has never gone back on his word. I am sure he has second guessed his decision, who doesn't wonder if they made the right decision especially when it is a really big one. He may still change his mind, though I highly doubt it, either way IMO he deserves more than the constant "he gone" mentality. Actions speak the loudest? Well he has been committed, never left and he is still here. That is what should speak the loudest and should at least earn him the benefit of our doubts.

Maybe its just me, but i feel like if he was gonna decommit he would have done it already.

He has the chance to go to major cfb games in one of the most exciting places to play for free. Why wouldn't he go and have fun? Too expensive and not feasible to come to ND for every game.

No love for Soso? Say it ain't so. Scarlett and Brossette (in addition to Adams) would be a ridiculous RB haul though.

The three of them (bo, Scarlett, and brossette) all visited for the same game so they're probably a lot closer with each other than they are with soso

You know, I just want to point out when ppl say, "well, gosh, why's every one doubting him" that the dude signs autographs for lsu fans while dressed in lsu gear at lsu games, which just happens to be the most prominent school in his home state and the same one that his parents rather he attend.

He might come to ND. He probably will. But wondering about his commitment level isn't exactly unreasonable.

This is the last I will post on this as I think there is a fundamental misunderstanding about state U's. Particularly one as insular as LSU.

My take is this. ... Tillery grew up and lives in LA where LSU is THE team. Its not unreasonable to think he is a fan of LSU because of this. He may very well always be an LSU fan. However, he wants to study religion and play top flight football so he is choosing to leave the state and play for ND because this will give him the exact education he wants as well as having the best OL coach in NCAA. ND might not be his home team but it will be his future team. I can dig that.

I think this why I have never got the feeling that he is messing around other than just having fun before he commits to a 40 year decision.

We're all part of one of the greatest recruiting troll jobs ever. It's just too bad some of you just don't realize it yet.

Is he trolling ND? Or is he trolling LSU?? Or maybe.... just maybe, is he crazy enough to troll himself?

I still don't know whats going on.

Most intense game I've watched this year. Jerry Tillery would have been a fool to turn down witnessing such an event. I thought Campbell Stadium was hostile, but in Death Valley you are on a different rung of the ladder. This game was a teaching tool. Want to play for national championships? This is the defensive effort required of you.

Jerry Tillery is a people person. At the Michigan game, he showed similar enthusiasm and interaction with the fans. Tillery will be a nice addition to the Notre Dame football team.

It's simple. Every time Jerry sleeps in an LSU t-shirt people lose their minds.

On a serious note, I can totally see Jerry having fun at those games. Like it's been mentioned, he did grow up in LSU territory. However, when a kid wants his picture taken with Hesburgh, that tells me he is a lot more cerebral about life and is looking at the 40 year decision more closely than most recruits.

ISD reported on Friday that he is in the midst of filling out his EE papers to ND. They said Tillery told the staff that he's just having fun, nothing more.

Could he still flip? Sure. But ISD made it sound like he's staying Irish and that the staff is confident.

I liken it to if I was an ND commit, I'd still travel to go see Rutgers football games and support the state university. I can totally see that happening.

Just a thought.

I get what you're saying, you should be charged with some sort of football crime for comparing Rutgers to LSU

I think he is trying to say Rambo either goes to Rutgers games or is from the area? Not sure with but I don't think he was trying to compare Rutgers to LSU.
