Blah, Blah. kmoose is trying to hold people to a higher standard than the other boards that all of you elitist pricks condescend about all of the time. You know? The one(s) where people constantly whine about officiating, play calling, jumbotrons, and field turf?

As to me having whined about not getting to start these post game threads. People are taking my previous comments out of context. Yes, I have previously observed that it was a tradition for me to start these. But only in response to someone else bitching that the mods asked them to stop starting the post game "rants", and demanding an explanation of why I had to be the one to start them.

I am opinionated, yes. I set high standards for others, yes. I don't sugarcoat too much, yes. A couple of you mods have even given me infractions.. including you, whiskey. I would bet that I took those infractions with much less drama than most people. It's called being responsible. I sometimes lose my composure. But I don't blame anyone else when I do. I own my mistakes, and I try to learn from them and become a better person. I'm not going to apologize for expecting the same from others, and trying to hold them to that standard. In the end, it is up to them. If you don't like it, then ask Pham to boot me.

The problem is that it is your version of a higher standard and you are speaking down to other posters while claiming the righteous position. Not that you disagree with them but how you do it, just like you did it in this post. Look how great I am and how I am better than others. Get off the high horse.

What you shouldn't do is ask someone a question about themselves, they answer it and then you call them a liar. That is bad form. You can question if he is right about the PI call or not but that isn't what you did in that post.

So just bc my IE brethren tells me he was a D1 recruit way back when, I am supposed to eat that shyt up and believe him when I COMPLETELY DISAGREE WITH HIS ANAYLSIS OF A MASSIVE, EGREGIOUS CALL!!!???

Nope sorry, Im not a puppet...

What sucks is if they don't make the call we are on top of the world, and there is only a small minority bitching about the non-call. It probably wouldn't even have made ESPN.

If nothing else it would be nice if they put on record what they saw on a call. They don't need to be open for questions but a public statement on controversial calls would be nice.

As I stated, none of this has to do with my opinion on the call. I still have no idea what me ever playing football has to do with anything.

I also never stated that you should believe me, for any reason, let alone that some FCS schools thought I might not suck.

Meh. I thought of that but then you'll end up getting mostly generic crap. Having to stand in front of the media for a few minutes of questioning can weed out the bullshit. Makes you wonder how an official would call a game knowing he has to answer publicly.

You obviously are not reading what I wrote. Disagree with his analysis but don't accuse him of lying about the question you asked (whether he played D1 or not). Either don't ask it or accept him at his word for that portion. Feel free to question his view on the call (though I happen to agree with him).

I disagree with his interpretation of the call too, but the ad hominem thing about his football bonafides was unnecessary.

Your defense of the officials call made me question if you have played the sport.... In the natural play of the game, that shyt happens all the time.....

Yes...... I was clearly out of line. The next time someone calls me a "contrarian dick", I will be sure to take their feelings into account, when I respond to them.

Such a bad call that nobody knows! (Yes, thats a joke by me.)

I jumped up for glory only to have it ruined and taken away. Notre Dame was screwed tonight, that's all I can say.

What the hell does playing football have to do with deciding if PI was PI? That's illogical.

I am sure we all appreciate your guidance and hope to live up to your standard. Like I said earlier the rant seemed agenda driven, now I see that it was. No one thinks you should be booted, I don't think anyone is mad at you, it is just that some people don't want to be condescended to.

BC ones opionion of that call can greatly vary if you are simply a like long spectator or if youve played the game. How does that not make sense? As a player, I have a hard time believing former players dont see that as a normal football play

Again, I agree with your opinion about the call but I think it's pretty clear that the opinions of the call aren't split along 'played/didn't play' lines.

You have been treating everyone like that tonight (well anyone that dared to disagree with you) not just him.

what rant are you talking about?

If people don't want to be condescended to, then they should take some time and THINK, instead of reacting emotionally. Look, like I said..........it seemed clear to me that Fuller was engaged in blocking his guy, regardless of who initiated contact. So, from that standpoint, it was a correct call, and complaining about that only makes people sound whiney. Again, as I said, you could maybe make an argument that there should have been offsetting penalties there, because of the defender's actions. But if you look at the Observer's replay, it seems clear that Fuller takes a blocking stance, as his elbow comes up as if to leverage the defender inside. But, even if there were offsetting penalties, the down would still be played over again. Maybe the snap sails over Golson's head, or maybe he throws another INT. Even Lou Holtz said it was interference, for God's sake!!

This is the context

I'm curious what the "it was the right call" people would say about what a receiver can do in that situation. If they were supposed to clear out, what can they do if the defenders step in front of them and refuse to cede ground? Just lay down? It seems way too easy to say the rule is that a defender can just step in front of the receiver and it's an automatic 15 yarder against the offense.

Don't engage. If the CBs engaged you then it's holding on them. I see Prosise engaged and Fuller engaged. The Prosise one I can see being a no call but Fuller, whether or not you think the CB is trying to cut off the slant, blocks him. I'm not a ref but I would be pissed if the shoe were on the other foot and the flag wasn't thrown.

Have you ever played a down of football in your life?

Yes, not that it matters. I was a DI recruit.

Get off your high horse, when you treat other people like shit because they disagree with you and call them whiners because they disagree with you, then you look bad not them. You are reacting just as emotionally (if not more so, and getting personal about it) as them by calling them whiners but you can not see it.

Yeah...no. ND would murder those clowns.

+1. Jarron, Sheldon and the D Line would absolutely destroy that offensive line. Everett would run up and down the field on that defense too.
