Mass exodus started before halftime. It's just too damn cold and wet. Crowd completely taken out of the game.

Who else trying to stick it out?

Worst Game Environment Ever

The real question: Is Koon still toughing it out?

I have never, ever seen it be this combination of cold AND wet. It's virtually unbearable I'm part timing it trying to stay warm.

...

The people from Rockne's era scoff at your lack of testicular fortitude.

The rain and cold are apart of football. I was at the 2012 game and it was rough but no one left..........

At ND? Yes, worst I've ever been there for. Cold rain is just so much worse than snow, etc.

Tough conditions, yes.

Worse at ND, ever? No.

Worst you've experienced doesn't equate to ever in ND football history.

He posted a picture with the final score, so I guess so.

I'm disappointed. I love rainy football weather, although I do prefer it's at least 55 degrees if it is going to rain. It was sad to see the stadium kinda empty like that after halftime. This was a huge game! Those people missed out.

I was there for 3-9 and the infamous Syracuse snowball loss. I've never seen people go "I can't do this anymore... we gotta go" like they did. Just a lot of people couldn't handle the rain + cold combo.

But almost all the students stuck it out and a lot of lower bowl people... so I'm pretty proud of that dedication.

Don't worry, there was an incredible (and warm) environment here in Lafun!

Not if they went to legends across the street. I did that in 2012 because the people behind me were crying about standing and yelling. I couldn't take it. I went to legends, drank some beers, and cheered with hundreds of ND fans. That place was rocking. Sure it's not the stadium, but that's prob my best ND experience ever. People jumping on tables, strangers high fiving, cheering on every down.. It was awesome

+1 I saw the stands looked a bit empty and that's a GD shame! Tired of people acting like It's a fad or privilege to attend these games! I'm soo happy I was there in 12' to witness the good!

i was surprised more people didnt leave. I was on the south east side in the corner and a couple people left at half. The student section lost a lot which was disappointing. Im not going to lie and say the thought of leaving didnt cross my mind but i knew i couldnt, and i never have before. About 5 minutes after the half i started losing most of the feeling in my feet and hands so I was good to go for the rest of the game. Really felt bad for the people who didnt prepare for the weather.

Were you the holder on the botched fieldgoals?

I didn't think it was too bad (the crowd, not the weather). We did a pretty job of sticking it out and making noise
