If freaking Nebraska can pull a RB from LA, then ND should be able to. He is fast...or is that quick?

Where do we think he fits? With Adams in the fold and the relative high confidence in Soso, this one seems a bit strange. Thoughts?

Soso is no guarantee and wasn't there some speculation that Adams might be a risk to Penn State now that their sanctions have been lifted?

Kid is a good football player and I think this is a great offer. We've done everything we can with Soso and he is well aware that he is our #1 RB and he's been that for awhile. We'll continue to recruit the heck out of him. With that said there is no way we can put ourselves in the situation of having Adams as our only or top back.

I recall talk of taking up to 3 RBs with one being an APB. But I have not heard of any developments regarding the ones we were chasing earlier. This may be another push for an APB.

All purpose back, scatback. Change of pace back, return man. More speed and quickness the better.

So is the offer commutable or is it contingent on Soso?

No real word on that but I don't think it matters. Keep it mind that he's never visited ND and is committed to another school. So, I think we're a long ways off from a commitment. I think the goal here is to get our foot in the door while still allowing Soso the time that he wants. Probably look to set up an OV for Kendall and go from there. I would think that UNC and Stanford will be possible OV's to look at.

I also remember hearing that after getting none lin the last class that this or the next class they are going to take 3 RB's.

They are going to take 5 RB's in the next 2 classes and I expect 2 of the 5 to be power RB's one in each class preferably with 2 more traditional featured back types and 1 APB.

He is already planning an OV to Notre Dame within the next couple weeks. Wants to major in Business (advantage ND). Nebraska, ASU, and Texas Tech are the other school he plans on visiting. per Anna

He doesn't seem to be much of a Nebraska commit IMO

The LSU faithful believe Brossette is still all Tigers with Texas as the biggest threat. A&M is starting to push on Soso J. pretty hard. Bussey would be a great addition for a slot type back, returner, etc., but I don't know if he would be an every down type of back. What other rb's is the Irish targeting? With Soso not a lock, and Brossette looking more and more like a longshot, it may be time for Notre Dame to look at some other options.

Cameron Scarlett from Oregon is the first one that comes to mind

First, I think its a good question and one that we'll get answers to here shortly. Around ND they are confident that Soso will be there's and much more so than people on the outside looking in. Wiltfong basically came out and said that the A&M guys have no info, its just the thought that they could get him if they want him. While there are definite connections I think people are getting a little carried away, at the current time. I think that they operate with the thought that Soso will be in this class until proven otherwise or we get into October and he doesn't look like he's going to budge. Lastly, I would think that there will be a couple to few more offers in the coming weeks and a pretty dramatic shift in this RB recruiting picture if we get to the 2nd bye week and Soso isn't committed.

-I'll note it here since it Soso was brought up. Tristen Hoge mentioned that his father and Soso's have been in constant communication since the Michigan game.

Thanks for the info. Hopefully Soso pulls the trigger soon and you guys can finish rounding out the position. Would make life much easier. LOL

I'll leave it to the folks with twitter to post but apparently there is a twitter exchange between Bussey and Folston in which it sounds like they have a prior relationship.

No word yet from Mayock, but I'm hearing quicker than fast..

I'm surprised nobody touched this for 3.5 hours...
