Some talk from some OSU guys I know said it could be announced soon.

Anybody else heard anything about it?

Ohio State and their fans can burn in hell. I was at the last ND vs OSU game in Columbus and it was miserable.

Is ND trying to schedule itself out of the national championship picture?

There were rumors a few weeks ago and then OSU announced games with shit opponents instead, I think around 2018-19.

Yeah, because there are so many easy games on the schedule as it is. Not smart.

Dumb decision but I do like it in terms of trolling Michigan so hard it hurts.

Maybe we can drop Purdue and Navy for TAMU and Oregon while we're at it.

Wow every game we play would be a possible national championship game , and our good friends at espn could just set up permanent camp for gameday. PS agree on liking it to piss off michigan.

Outside of any dates, I think assuming how tough our schedule will be 5 or more years from now is difficult at best. The only set teams we know we will be playing are Navy, USC and UGA in 2017 and 2019, and any 4-5 of the Acc.

I was at that game in 1995. It was a horrible experience. Their fans were awful.

Not when ND is 5-7 every year...

Hopefully somehow Ohio State will be irrelevant in a few years. Urban Meyer could bring destruction to the program.

What if it ends up being 2018, 2020, 2022 and 2024? Lol.

I thought we play Stanford every year as well so we are in California every year?

Maybe. I think alternating at USC And Stanford was part of the plan but up till 2017. I think those are the only games I know will be set.

We're scheduling like 10-2 will be good enough for the playoffs. I don't see a 2-loss team (except for an 11-2 SEC Champ) making it barring a stupid upset-filled season like 2007 Just looking at BCS standings from the last few years shows that a 2-loss team is never in the Top-4.

It might be easier to look at Ohio State's schedule and see when they'd be available. Looking at said schedules, I don't see how this happens any sooner than 2024.

2017
Sept. 16 Oklahoma
Sept. 23 at North Carolina

2018
Sept. 8 Cincinnati
Sept. 15 at TCU
Sept. 22 North Carolina

2019
Sept. 21 TCU

2020
Sept. 12 at Oregon

2021
Sept. 11 vs. Oregon

2022
Sept. 17 at Texas

2023
Sept. 2 Boston College
Sept. 16 vs. Texas

2014
Aug 31 at Boston College

The last time I was at an OSU game, I was with a Michigan State fan... I have and always will be a supporter of anyone that goes against OSU (especially since if they win and a mutual opponent, it helps our SOS ;)). This is very simply because I have lived around OSU fans for nearly half of my life, and they are the most awful fans on the planet. We were just minding our business, enjoying the game. MSU went up at half-time on a field goal, and we stood up clapping after the kick was announced good. We immediately had beers poured on us and were escorted out of the stadium "for our own safety."

Worst fans and football experience of my life. Needless to say, we still went out and partied pretty hard that night with our OSU fans/student friends that gave us the tickets, but we didn't bother even talking about the game. It's never worth it.

Dumb. I don't see how this gives the ND brand any more exposure, nor do I see it helping in recruiting. We already take plenty of OH kids. If JS wants to schedule a perennial top 10 team, I'd rather it be a team from the west coast or the south.
