Is the interest mutual Ironman?

Never mind. Christian from ISD says he has legit interest and will visit this spring.

Agreed, it sounds like he's a perfect fit. Not sure why we've slow played here as well. I'm usually pretty patient with recruiting but it feels like we're behind right now. June is expected to be huge with that camp but April and May need to be as well so kids actually come. A little behind for my liking and I never say that

Too big for Van Gorder. Doesn't fit the mold. Maybe he should send his tape to UCONN or something

I really don't think we are slow playing him bro. Just seems like a quiet guy.

i'll be more worried about the progress of our class if june doesn't go well....i would imagine the staff will hit the road hard this week in an effort to get guys on campus either over the summer or for an official.

usually a pretty fun time of the year with summer camps/combines on deck.

Sounds like Michigan might have locked him up. The family loved the visit (dad is sold) and may decide sooner than later. Top 5 are Michigan, NC State, UNC, Duke and Tennessee. Unfortunate based on his dads answers I think they would love ND.

Hoke can recruit his ass off. If he was half as good at coaching as he was at recruiting, Michigan would be legit.

I have no clue how he gets these kind of commits again and again and again. No clue. His on field performance certainly doesn't match his recruiting. I shutter to think the classes the guy could pull if Michigan was actually, you know, good.

Mattison. Well, Hoke too. But Mattison is an absolute ace and works really hard for a guy with his credentials.

I think Hoke is a good coach but the UM job just might be too big for him. He probably needed to have a job in between San Diego St and Michigan. He is certainly a much better fit at UM than Rich Rod was. Doesn't help that he has an AD in David Brandon that seems like he is incompetent.

Wow, I was expecting this to be one of those spontaneous ND commits, or at least some form of good news for ND. Seems like it's been forever since ND got any form of good news.

The 70-0 win over Rice will lift your spirits.

This is wildly unrealistic, but it seems like a lot of ND fans think Rice is a D3 cupcake. They finished last season ranked 69th in F/+, which is a lot better than Purdue (114th, who we only beat by 7), Air Force (113th, who we beat by 35) Temple (98th, who we beat by 22), and Rutgers (91st, who we beat by 13).

In other words, they've got a lot more quality than the four worst teams we played last year, two of which played us close.

So you're saying Rice will score atleast a FG? Im just trying to cheer up sean, but u gotta go n crush dreams. I am fully confident ND wins this game easily. Also since this kid is a mich commit I assume thread derailment is encouraged.

I'm confident we'll win as well. But it's important to manage expectations properly. Not looking forward to a bunch of griping tomorrow evening when we only beat Rice by 17 or so.

Crawford was a Michigan commit once, too. Odds are good that this is Hoke's last year in Ann Arbor. If BvG decides he'd like Roseboro as part of this class, we'll still have a shot later on.

True. I hope they make a run for him sooner rather than later. I'm not entirely confident that we'll land any of the pass rushers on the top of our list. Wallace is the only one I see us realistically getting and he's nowhere near physically ready. This guy is.

As for Rice, we definitely beat them by more than 17. I'd say somewhere in the ballpark of 30-40 points.

they also played an incredibly weak schedule to get those stats. I would argue that all the teams you just listed had a tougher schedule than them.

Some people think Rice is better than they really are because they won 10 games last year. Their schedule was pitiful.

Probably sells them on the future of the program and how they will be a key component.
