William Larue Weller 2011 release 66.75%.

If you love wheat bourbon then this annual release is a must try.

I decided to "unleash the kraken" tonight in light of recent events.

Go Peat or Go Home.

Yes, I realize how bad this joke is, I will voluntarily cut myself off. Thank you.

Love love love KC single barrel! Been thinking about picking up some or Some aberlour a'bunadh

I like both options. I say go for both. Having said that, the A'bunadh is very batch dependent, some are good and some are just ok.

How is the basement doing?

We were pretty fortunate, we only got a few inches. Other people in my neighborhood got upwards of 4 feet! Add to that...we had sewer backup insurance where others did not (not part of most plans, has to be added).

Good news is th restoration company has done their thing and all beer/alcohol is intact! Last night for me was Left Hand's Chainsaw Ale Double Sawtooth, thought it was just ok.

Jealous. This is what I will miss most about living in Michiana

Lol, I live in the Indianapolis area, and it is virtually impossible to get even around there. A buddy of mine from the region brought me a 12 pack of it last weekend.

Flying Dog The Fear Imperial Pumpkin Ale

A 9% pumpkin spice beer could make for one hell of a fall.

Tell him to bring some to Maryland. I will pay him in Old Bay cheese puffs. They're a game changer

How is it?

Pretty damn good. More spice than pumpkin by a lot and it's fairly malty. I will definitely buy it again. Better than Pumking or Pumpkinhead or a lot of other familiar pumpkin beers. Not as good as Punkin Ale. (Not sure if those comparisons are helpful)

I still never recovered from the nasty infection I got hit with back in jan. My pallet, and stomach, very much prefers light drinks these days... So I've pretty much been without browns and IPAs this year which used to be my go tos...

Been a light beer and cider guy, finally tried Red's... I like. Having an apple ale right now.

Damn the Flying Dog Pumpkin ale isn't available here. Does anyone have any recommendations for Pumpkin ales?
So far I was considering
Southern Tier Pumking
Southern Tier Warlock (Imperial Stout brewed with pumpkins)
Shipyard Smashed Pumpkin

Also the Costco by me brought in a 24 pack of Lagunitas IPA for $25.
