Good strategic move to have him on Power Hour and doing other interviews. Reinforces that he is now Irish. Harder to cut ties the more you become invested.

Boykin started the off-season on a tear, displaying a blend of superior size and athleticism to stand out at several camps and combines. He did not end the offseason as strong as he started, though, having a few pedestrian showings at 7-on-7s and the Rivals100 Five-Star Challenge. Not too worried about this one. The DB's in this class are quite good and Miles is not the only WR who has had difficulty. The one that truly shocks me is Brosette though. Dropped from 112 to 235 overall....that seems like a hefty drop for somebody as talented as he is.

Notre Dame wide receiver commit CJ Sanders started the 2014 season off with a huge week and this past weekend Miles Boykin tried his best to top Sanders’ performance. Boykin recorded 176 receiving yards on 11 catches with a stunning five touchdowns. Providence Catholic (Ill.) knocked off Minooka 56-13 behind Boykin’s big night.

I had the chance to compare how he looks now to my scouting report from his junior film. I really like what I've seen from Boykin thus far this season for Providence Catholic (Illinois) and think he has really taken his game to a new level. His five touchdowns in his second game of the season might be reason enough to think he has improved, but here's some other things that stood out to me:

His speed and quickness have really improved
...
He can be a dominating blocker as a receiver
...
He needs to be more consistent with his effort as a blocker
...
He is a strong runner after the catch
...
Good luck trying cover him in the red zone
...
His hands are consistently great
