What is the "uniform surprise"?

The helmet and the undershirt are pretty cool, but the actual uniforms look terrible. Maybe it's just the way they do the art and they'll look better on the actual players, but the overall aesthetic is busy and unclean. I'm not a strict traditionalist on uniforms - I've liked the Shamrock Series stuff in the past - but this is a huge swing and a miss by Under Armor in their first crack at this.

What was their rationale for the obnoxious stripes above the knee and on the sleeve and the gross gold neckline piping? Also, blue pants with blue jersey = fail, every time. Just no way to make that look good.

I think last year's would have been PERFECT if they would have made the helmet logo a chrome-green interlocking ND, rather than the chrome shamrock.

But it seems like there's pressure to do something really different for the Shamrock Series, and that means switching up the pants, too. Unfortunately, our color scheme doesn't allow for much creativity with the pants. All white or all blue are apparently the easiest way to "shake up" the overall look.

No, but I like the stripe. I think it subtly breaks up the monochrome and looks pretty sweet.

One year they have to do a light blue jersey. Madonna blue or whatever is on the inside of the dome. They could use the exact same layout, just change the jersey color. It's also been since 2011 that they've rocked a green jersey, they're due.
