I'd take them both along with Adams, since Adams could play in the slot.Oh I agree with you but we already took Adams so that leaves me wanting Jamabo and possibly Brossette
"The football team is always on the top," said Scarlett of the Irish. "They are always in the hunt for a BCS title..."
Cameron Scarlett has pushed back his UCLA visit until sometime during the basketball season. The four-star all-purpose back from Portland (Ore.) Central Catholic was supposed to visit this past weekend when the Bruins were upset by Utah. Scarlett has already visited Washington and he also plans to visit Notre Dame this weekend and then Stanford and Oregon (dates to be determined). During a recent game in Southern California for Scarlett, Stanford coach David Shaw was spotted on the sidelines and it's believed the Cardinal could be tough to beat in his recruitment. -- Gorney
Good. There are other prospects I want much more.
I wouldn't mind if the staff over-took on RBs and then converted one or two to bad ass LBs ala Frank Stams. KRussell showed the staff can take talent and find a spot to make them shine.

Cameron Scarlett, RB, 6-2, 215, Central Catholic High School, Portland, OR has wanted to see Notre Dame for a long time and he finally got his opportunity last weekend when the Irish played North Carolina. The trip lived up to the four-star running back’s expectations.
“Everything went great,” Scarlett said. “We got there Friday and got to go through the walk-through practice and met with the coaches after. We went out to dinner and had a really nice dinner at a Japanese place. I talked with the coaches there too and then went back and hung out with a couple of the players. I got to see what it was like to be a freshman, got to see the dorms.”
Scarlett felt very comfortable with the players on the team.
“They are all really cool, from the freshman guys that I met to the older guys,” he shared. “I feel like I could definitely see myself fitting in and make some cool friends. They all seem super friendly and are super nice guys.”
Scarlett had especially looked forward to seeing the Notre Dame campus. He wasn’t disappointed.
“The campus is really nice,” he said. “I knew it was going to be, but it’s something I really had to see for myself. Everything looked beautiful out here.”
Scarlett was already familiar with several members of the Irish staff from when his brother Brennan was recruited by them. The opportunity to visit with them, though, last weekend, gave him even more insight into the Notre Dame coaches.
“They’re all really nice,” he said. “It seems like they really care about their players.”
After breakfast on Saturday morning, Scarlett spent time with the team prior to the game.
“I met with the coaches before the game, had a meeting with the sports and academic people,” he explained. “I got to hear how they help students and what they do. Then we went to the game, watched the game, got to see what the Notre Dame atmosphere is like; it’s second to none.”
Scarlett also got a chance to watch an Irish offense that rang up fifty points on the Tar Heels. Predictably, he focused on the running backs.
“Their offense is clicking,” he observed. “It took them a little bit to get going, but once they got going there was no stopping them. I like the way they use their backs; they like to hand it off to them, they like to throw it to them, set up a lot of screens for them. I like catching the ball out of the backfield and I could see myself fitting in.”
Scarlett has already visited Washington and has trips planned to UCLA and Stanford. The Notre Dame visit set the bar high for any future visits.
“I really feel good about Notre Dame,” he offered. “It’s definitely a good place I could go. It’s different than a lot of other schools. It’s special.”
kid tore his ACL in the Oregon high school playoffs![]()
This week Central Catholic senior running back Cameron Scarlett finally received word on the extent of the right knee injury he suffered in a 42-7 victory over West Linn in the 6A state quarterfinals.
Immediately following the injury, the 6-foot-1, 200-pound back was told it was likely a torn ACL, which doctors confirmed after tests last week.
"It's torn," he said. "I'm going to be out until the start of summer, but hopefully I can rehab it up and be ready for camp this summer."
The Rivals four-star prospect is scheduled for surgery December 17th.
"It just sucks. I just hate talking to coaches, and just people about me being hurt," he said.
Scarlett called coaches from his final four schools – Notre Dame, Stanford, UCLA and Washington – to deliver the news. All four said they would still actively recruit the Rivals top 100 prospect.
"I wasn't really that nervous," he said. "If they end up saying, 'no,' then it's just going to make the process easier for me. I don't want to go to a school where that's part of their program – taking scholarships away through injuries."
Despite the injury, Scarlett is moving forward with his recruitment and has set his decision date. He will be making his college selection December 15 at "around 11 a.m."
Although he doesn't have a favorite, he provided a preview of each school – in no particular order.
"Washington is just such a great program," he said. "They are really headed in the right direction with Coach Pete. Notre Dame is same way, such a great program. They've been struggling recently, but that's not an indication of how they've been the last six years. Stanford, their academics are hard to say no to. Their coaching staff shows me the most love, by far. And they like to run the ball, which is big for me. Then UCLA, I love the L.A. area. It's just such a nice place. I had a great time on my visit. Coaches don't reach out to me as much, but when they do it's all love."
Scarlett has said all four colleges see him as a featured back, however his career as a high school ball-carrier is officially over.
Stanford and Washington I think are the only schools even actively recruiting him. And I'm not so sure about Washington.
Committed to Stanford.
