Yup. Hardy Mums. I'm getting ready to border the section of Notre Dame grass I bought in the spring with yellow hardy mums. Can't wait!

What about the red, pink, and white ones are that lines the walkways to the Grotto? I've wanted to do to my front door like that.

That is exactly what I am doing, Planted my grass, have a stone boarder, and planting the yellow flowers behind the like the sideline

Resident florist, and I wasn't even here to help. I feel ashamed.

Funny story, my fiancee just learned last week that there are flowers in the stadium. She's an alum just like I am and we've attended at least one game every year since graduating, and caught virtually all of them on TV. She literally just never noticed and was floored when I pointed them out in a print we have on the wall.

Does she blackout for every game?

I believe the yellow mums were installed for the rededication (expansion) of the stadium in 1997.

Very cool! How is your grass taking? Stores should start getting hardy mums soon.
