'14 NC RB Elijah Hood (UNC Verbal)

I still think that Bo Scarmborough has the most impressive film of anyone about to be a RB.

RB wasn't a position of need, whereas ILB is. Hood maybe a better prospect than Morgan, but I'm happy the parent's influence on kid's decisions in 2013 worked out the way it did (Hood to UNC, Morgan to ND).

I honestly will take that trade off if I had my choice.

You guys still haven't seen Fournette, huh?

I've seen Fournette, but from what I saw, Bo's combination of size, speed, and power is unmatched, even by Fournette.

Maybe, but remember, Bo's competition<<<<<< Fournette's competition. No more debating. We never agree on these things, Kuehn. It's okay.

Is IE really going to let this one slide?

this makes me upset. I was very high on Hood. Best RB film I have seen personally in recent years. I think he will end up being better than both Folston and Bryant.

I know it won't happen, but how great of a surprise would it be if he pulled a Kiel (minus the eventual transfer) and enrolled at ND unexpectedly? I'd be ecstatic.

Take another puff and pass it over.

Watching the North/South Carolina Shrine Bowl. Man we missed out on a good one with Hood.

Just a hard nose runner that doesn't go down with first contact.

Still one of the best highlight tapes I have ever seen at RB. He is going to be a stud.

More stuff is coming out over the last month which could push the NCAA to actually investigate N. Carolina instead of claiming it's not an athletic issue.

Adviser: UNC football, basketball players 'woefully unprepared' :: WRAL.com

"At UNC, we have also sadly admitted to tolerating a system of no-show classes (which preserved eligibility) that existed in our African and Afro-American Studies Department for more than two decades – a system that athletes, advisers, coaches and administrators all knew about, but for which only two people have been blamed," Willingham said.

Willingham's research made the national spotlight last week as part of a CNN report on academic deficits among student-athletes nationwide.

Willingham wrote in her brief that she started looking for jobs outside UNC "because the pressure to keep students eligible had eclipsed learning and academic integrity. The cheating in ‘no show’ paper classes and in our mentor program (e.g., writing papers for players) had become overwhelming."

University of North Carolina Apologizes for Fake Classes, Promises Real Change - Businessweek

Until the last few days, the university’s leadership seemed intent on hanging all culpability around the necks of Nyang’oro and his aide. That made no sense: Why would a lone scholar have taken it upon himself to prop up athletes’ eligibility, and how could he have operated his scam for nearly two decades undetected? Now Dean and Folt are conceding that the story is more complicated and does have something to do with athletics.

That concession ought to bring NCAA investigators back to Chapel Hill. The sports association took a pass on probing the scandal, based on the notion that it didn’t have anything to do with athletes and therefore was outside the NCAA’s jurisdiction.

Good thing. He is going to have to carry that team for the next four years.
