just an interesting tid bit

just an interesting tid bit

Before her death in 1995, Ian’s maternal grandmother, Lily May Green, had told Ian’s mother, Natalie Williams that her grandson would one day play for the University of Notre Dame. Not wanting to influence his decision, Natalie waited until after Ian signed with Notre Dame to tell her son of his grandmother’s prescient forecast.[3]

Awesome, but note the comments about his effort at ND. Looks like only when he went undrafted did he start to put in a high effort.

Whenever possible I blame it on Weis

And we do have a lot to blame Weis for....on the positive side he did keep some decent recruiting areas open: Cali, our Minn. pipeline both come to mind. But he did screw the pooch with Jersey, TX, and SEC land. I just can't say something good without following with a negative for him........He has a good charity for Autism. There I'm done.

What a great story for this kid to be in the running for 1st string against Dorsey. Truly a testament to determination and grit.

Coach Harbaugh was on the local sports radio station out here in the bayy area (KNBR) this morning and mentioned Ian should play 3/4ths of the game next thursday against Denver..

Looking forward to watching him..

They said 'leg injury' out for the game. Sure looked like he broke an ankle as it didn't look straight to me.
