That's kind of what I meant to say, that's why I deleted Coney name. Just don't want to come off disrespectful because Coney can play. But if he fits ND, every Notre Dame fan will probably always take the 5 star.

Don't worry about that, ND is sitting perfectly for recruiting. Load up on the Midwest kids, then go out West and South and deal with that. That's a whole season in itself.

True. Hoping for a couple commits from The Opening. I know some big names are taking officials this season, so that will help too.

He mentioned something about Louisville in a video at The Opening. I'm not worried about Louisville; they won't be very good this year and they'll get their ass kicked on November 22nd

Yeah I saw/heard that too. He specifically mentioned them. Either someone was recruiting him hard at the Opening for Louisville or they have stepped it up big time in general.

With Jerome Baker's surprise commitment, D J Durkin and Chris Leak now have a target list that includes Jeffrey Holland, roquan Smith, Adonis Thomas, and Tevon Coney for their approaching Friday Night Lights event. Joker Phillips abrupt departure from the program must have been unsettling for some prospects. Both Miami and Florida have Coney on their want list. Notre Dame is so different from the other schools recruiting him, and I think it is to their advantage.

No mention of it. Prior to the opening Coney wanted to visit quite a few schools. Then we got some insanely positive news coming out of the event by multiple people. So, count we confused. I think we are in good position just not sure when it truly ends.

At the conclusion of a monster junior year(Gardens losing to South Dade in state 8A semifinals), Coney had but three scholarship offers - Florida Atlantic, South Alabama, and Appalachian State. Six weeks into the new year, and there is an avalanche of offers - Alabama, Ohio State, Tennessee, and come June, Notre Dame. It's exciting to be wanted, but the recruiting process can be overwhelming. Did Tevon recently include Louisville into the equation? Unlike Byron Cowart, whose enjoying the recruiting game, I think Tevon Coney wants out, and may soon make a decision. It may also presage a run of linebackers making commitments in this class.
