Pretty cool, they hang on to win by 4 over the tourney favorite, barstoolsports.

That's awesome! Any idea what they will do with the money? Charity or keeping it?

They had it planned out before hand, a sizable portion would go to charity, then each player would receive a cut too.

Was about to post this! I actually read Barstool every day (pretty huge around Boston) but love seeing the ND alums balling out. Loved seeing Brey there celebrating.

Yeah they played some pretty good ball. Tried giving it away when they couldn't control two defensive rebounds with a minute to go, but they made some FTs.

Looks like we can thank Coach Brey for having Jerian Grant back this year

Thanks for posting! Possibly a great redemption story for him this upcoming year. He was averaging 19 and 6 when he went out last year. Could make a run at ACC POY if he makes a jump.

Not sure what it is about Jerian but I have never been a big fan of his game. If we want to thrive in the ACC we need to have more than two scorers. I'd rather see 4 guys average over 10pts a game than see Jerian average 25. If history is any guide, Brey will have his go to scorer and everyone else will stand around waiting for him to make a play.

From an article earlier this month. It sounds like he has a lot of medical issues.
Notre Dame Men’s Basketball Squad Embarks On Italian Tour

It’s difficult not to feel for forward Eric Katenda when you look at what he has dealt with since signing with the Irish: permanent blindness, a wrist ailment and recurring knee injuries that threaten his future in basketball.

Not that long ago, Katenda was viewed as a very talented forward that could offer the Irish another option in the frontcourt. Now, the coaching staff is trying to see whether he can continue his career or if he will need to be placed on medical scholarship. The Irish play four games in five days in Italy, and Notre Dame will be watching closely to see how his knees hold up while playing on a near daily basis.

It might not be until fall camp or during the season that such a determination can be made.

@Steve_Walentik: #Mizzou announces that G Cam Biedscheid, who transferred in January from Notre Dame, will no longer be a member of MU program.
