Nothing earth shattering. He only has one summer visit set up and that's to ND. And he's thinking that ND and FSU will get officials.

Best part of the article:

"'[Nico Fertitta]'s said that it’s one of those schools you have to go down there and see for yourself because it’s mind blowing,' Broadus said."

I don't know... that's probably a pretty high bar when you're Snoop's kid.

What an interesting turn we are seeing with the Wide Receivers. I capitalized out of new found respect.

I have met Snoop, and as I am not a youthful admirer of him or his craft, (almost 57), I have to tell you he is a pretty actualized, well adjusted gracious guy, that happens to be an astute businessman. I was pretty impressed by him; and it wasn't until later (days) that I found out he was a celebrity and who he was.

I think calling him names is astounding, and maybe a bit reproachful.

No, no, no, I don't smoke it no more, was tired of getting up off the floor, no thank you please it only makes you sneeze, and then it makes it hard to find the door!

Seriously, I have never been a doobie brother. Don't care for it. But to each their own.

The thing about this guy is that his private persona is nothing like his public.

okay, my earlier post on this matter was deleted??? anyway, I think there are a lot of positives to having Snoop in the crowd and or on TV representing ND football versus almost no negatives whatsoever other than pissing off some old crusty bastards... what some old timer thinks matters not at all.. what young, talented, high school football stars think matters quite a bit.

I too have met Snoop and he came off as a really down to earth guy... I'm just some random white boy he met at a Super Bowl party and he actually took time to talk to me for a few... prob the best celeb experience I've ever had.

anyway.

Certainly would be a fun fact for recruiting.

I haven't met many celebs. Dicky V at a Notre Dame pep rally. And his fine ass daughter.

I live in butt fucking Egypt.

Might be the reason.

Congressman Steve Pearce hangs at my folks house occasionally. But that's about it for me. Not really a celeb I suppose.

I was related to Glen Campbell through marriage; but they divorced.

I was in a academy with Buck Owens' grandson. In California so go figure. That's it.

But I'd vote in favor of Snoop and his son. I think he'd be a great ambassador of the university.

No, it is because people believe that people from Egypt smell of pigs. You and I know it is an unfounded rumor. But it keeps big city celebs from matriculating into the countryside, including Egypt.

I have no doubt Snoop is a super nice guy, and I think he'd be fun to have around the program. But he did sing a song called "B--tches ain't s--t but hoes and tricks." So let's not get too self-righteous in defending his honor. He's made a few bucks playing to the lowest common denominator.

You can't really be too hard on him, he was 18 when he had his got his first gig in gangster as a kid from Compton. It's not like he was on Leave it to Beaver, and what his public persona became reflects that. It's not like he still gangbanging and as far as I can tell is active in his children's lives. I think he'd be a fine ambassador for the school.

LOL! I wasn't even a little hard on him.

If you are being serious, I think you insult a lot of other kids who grown up in the hood and try to stay out of trouble when you imply that it was somewhat inevitable he went gangster.

Fine ambassador for Notre Dame? For Colorado's new weed law maybe. Unless your criteria is: (1) not gang banging; (2) active in children's lives. Personally, I don't think he'd make a fine ambassador for USC. There are lots of players and other alumni who I don't think need to be seen as a face for UNiversity (although I'm sure it would be good for marketing).

Once again, that's not to say he doesn't seem like a very nice guy these days.

It’s expected that he remains on the West Coast, but Notre Dame will get a shot at him when he visits in late June.

"I want to check out Notre Dame. I want to check that school out," Broadus said. "Also I'm really interested in Oregon, but I haven't gotten offered. If I was to get offered I would take an official. I've taken an unofficial but I want to take an official."

Just my opinion but there's no chance this kid will play for Notre Dame.

I keep saying that too. But 2 reporters I've talked to keep saying that the interest in ND is legit. Not that we'll get him, but that there is real interest and that's why the coaches keep recruiting him.

One other interesting tidbit I heard is that the mom is the one that runs things, not Snoop, and that's why he is in Vegas now and why the ND interest. Mora has wormed his way into the Snoop camp by working closely with Snoop on some football projects for the inner city, and I have always pegged his son for UCLA, but his mom might have the final say after all.
