Top 3 OSU, UM, PSU...
I'm not buying that he has a top 3 yet. And if he does that ND isn't in it. Also...it's June 1st.
No, I think Chosen is right, and looking at the video, I don't believe Cornell said those were his top three. Because the reporter just said; "outside of Notre Dame," where Cornell just said he had developed a great relationship with Elston. So either you're right and he is lying or you're wrong

I read this interview as good. Finally Jashon has developed a relationship with a ND Staff member, and it was as good as the one he had with Shaun Spencer and Larry Johnson.

I could be totally wrong but I don't think the video is where STL got that info. You're right that he doesn't say that in the video
In the video I think he names OSU MSU um and psu. Pretty sure those where the four, deffinitly know he didn't say ND.......
It was a different interview where he told Wiltfong OSU was in his Top 3 followed by:
Who else is in the top three?
“Maybe Michigan and Penn State,” Cornell said.

That's just crazy. Assuming the quote was taken in context, to think how we've gone from "front runner" to afterthought is beyond me.
The video TP posted didn't really shed any light. He named four schools after he was asked a bunch of ND questions. The way the question was asked made me think the reporter was looking for him to name schools other than ND.
The other video STL is referring to is the one that is discouraging because he was asked straight up to name his top 3.
I really wouldn't exhaust too much effort trying to figure this one out, boys. I'll call the ticket guy tomorrow and find out what's really going on.

I feel like if one of his schools gets hot and has a huge year, they'll have a chance even if he's committed elsewhere.
Going to commit August 28th and even then might take official visits.
I'm just curious as I can't say I know anything about talent evaluation, but what is it about Jashon that makes him the composite #37 recruit in the country? I mean you look at the highlight video for Kolin Hill, a relatively unheralded guy, and compare it to Jashon's, and Kolin looks far more disruptive in his highlights than Jashon does in his and yet Jashon is super highly rated. I'm not making any critiques; I'm just curious.
That is a ton of visits.
Sounds like he has a good feel for ND and it will be easy for us to make a late push as long as we stay fresh in his mind. Then save his official visit for AFTER he has used his other four (which I guarantee he will regardless of August commitment, you really think he won't take in a five free games if he took that many visits).
This might be tough with our home schedule this year. If he wants to see a premier game, then the last two home games are Northwestern and Louisville in November. In October is Stanford and North Carolina. Our biggest home game this year is the Michigan game, and a sweet neutral site game - both early in the year.
I know the staff can still get the big guy headed our direction again, I just don't see how they do it before his crazy, self-imposed deadline.
Urbie is probably like that timeshare guy who just moves from one selling point to the next. Everything looks and sounds great while your emotions are in high gear, but when your brain takes over to do the logical part you come back to reality.
