I don't think Franklin is sitting in southern California either. Penn State will get a bump up in recruiting, but Franklin isn't going to pulling in classes like Pete was. Let's be honest here.

Ole Pete did a great job, though there was that whole cheating thing as well as leveling off as some key coaches left the program. But he did have great success.

In fairness his commitment to PSU had all the hallmarks of a SEC/Hoke/Meyer "pressure" on a recruit to commit and get on board early without the recruit being able to wait and think about the decision with his family
