He has Prentice as the 63rd best player in the country. Blake is at 80.

I agree but wouldn't bet on it. Bartow's top 100 is a little on the ridiculous side, similar to his reporting.

Jordan Stevenson is a running back at South Oak Cliff. Committed last year around this time to Texas, but offers(Ohio State, TCU, UCLA) keep coming this spring. With a difficult fall schedule, South Oak Cliff athletes should receive a lot of offers and national attention. Defensive end Marvin Terry is another name to watch out of SOC Dallas.

SEC country will give Ryan Bartow just a hell of a time sometimes. Like we do with Loy and Kurelic but x10. They can't stand him, I think they call it getting "Bartowed". Hopkins irks me the most, but I promise I wouldn't rip any mods anymore.

I just took a look at the list. Interestingly, half of the prospects come from two states - 27 from Florida and 22 from California. As for high school programs, all the major suspects are there - Oscar Smith, Miramar, John Bosco, American Heritage, Skyline, St. Peter's. I think strength of schedule plays heavily in his selections. Also, most of these kids are camp warriors, and many of his choices will be going to the Opening and the Elite Eleven this summer. There are no sleepers(Jashon Cornell) on his list. They will all play for major colleges.

I didn't realize Prentice's school was this rich in talent.

Louisville apparently really liked the talent at Dallas South Oak Cliff as the Cardinals offered double-digit prospects from the school on Friday according to the school's coaches.

In the 2015 class, offers went to running back Jordan Stevenson (Texas commit), wide receiver JF Thomas (TCU commit), safety Prentice McKinney (Notre Dame commit), safety Jamile Johnson (Oklahoma commit), defensive tackle Jalen Goss, defensive back Takadrae Williams and defensive back X'Zaviae Ausborne.

In the 2016 class they offered Top247 defensive end Marvin Terry as well as defensive back Juice Parker and defensive end/linebacker hybrid Hal Vincent.

The offers to Parker and Vincent are the first for each player.

I saw that after I posted in this thread. From reading some of the comments by Louisville fans, it seems this is a new strategy as they just offered 9 guys from a Louisiana HS the other day. The fans also talked about how Petrino has expanded Louisville's footprint into non-traditional recruiting areas like TX and LA (with no success yet) since coming back in January.

But it's not like Prentice's teammates are just guys with a pulse. Four, including Prentice, are committed to BCS programs and four others have offers from other schools besides Louisville. Eight of the ten guys with offers are listed as defensive players in this class or the next. Their starting defensive backfield could have ND and Oklahoma commits at safety and Louisville commits at corner. I know it's not unprecedented for a school to have this many D1 players, but I just didn't realize South Oak Cliff HS was one of those schools that's stacked with this much talent. I had never heard of them before Prentice's recruitment. I'm very interested to see how they do this fall.

Prentice's comment that - We grind everyday - holds true for the South Oak Cliff fall schedule as well. They will play games against Cedar Hill, DeSoto, Grand Prairie, and Carter. Like many Dallas public schools, South Oak Cliff doesn't have a home football stadium. Their games are assigned to different stadiums throughout the system. Under Emmett Jones, SOC went 12-2 last year, and are 22-3 the last two years. Of the fourteen seniors on last year's team, nine received football scholarships.

Like Tim Harris at Miami's Booker T, Emmett Jones has built the SOC program around a dedicated coaching staff/school administration that has brought his players national attention.

Sampson said the either Ruhland or Mckinney gets a bump to 4 stars on rivals when they do the rest of rankings later in the week but he can't say which one. Considering Mckinney's performances at some camps I'd bet its him that gets the bump.

Definitely. I think that they will both end up with 4 stars, but even if they don't we got to steals in the class with these guys.

Yup, Prentice moved to Overall #250 in the updated rankings.

Big jump from where he was previously. More proof that we should trust the staff in offering and accepting commitments from some of these guys with low early rankings. We have seen an awful lot of them blow up after camp appearances and their senior year.
