Oklahoma commit Jamile Johnson says he's solid to the Sooners, not planning to take any other official visits in the fall and is trying to recruit his teammate, Notre Dame commit Prentice McKinney.

Notre Dame commit Prentice McKinney says he will be back at ND next weekend. He also feels 4-star RB Ronald Jones will commit to Notre Dame when he visits in the summer.

From the Prentice McKinney thread.

Damn that would be awesome. We need a badass RB this cycle, and I think Jones fits the bill. Plus, we're starting to establish a north Texas pipeline that could be huge going forward.

This kid is the spitting image of Melvin Gordon. Not big or powerful, but he's decisive. That's probably one of the best attributes a RB can have and very few have that this early in their career. He doesn't let any movement go to waste. He's very precise with his cuts/jukes. If he's moving north-south, he's MOVING north-south. If he's cutting, he's CUTTING. Similar to Gordon in stature and running style. The one issue I have is that he doesn't put the ball in the right hand a lot of the time. It's always in his right hand, which makes it easier to get it stripped when running on the left side of the field. Other than that, definitely worthy of his ranking.

Coach Gundy, what can I say, I'm not even mad. I still love him from that rant a while back.

I have a feeling that this is going to be one wacky recruiting cycle. And I'm not sure how well it ends for ND.

If Kelly and Co. have proven anything, they will be fine on the recruiting trail. No matter how weird it gets.

yeah, his recruitment is far from over. May not ultimately come home to Irish Nation, but this will be a topsy turvy ride for those involved with this kid.

Wasn't Greg Bryant interested in Okie state before becoming a domer? Just sayin.

Win and we won't have to worry about recruiting.

personally i'd love to play offense for oklahoma st.

if they can ever become consistent on defense they would be very dangerous nationally

Is this not a violation? He didn't mention names but did mention the town.

Each recruiting cycle gets more interesting with the way social media is. But we are a long way from signing day so anything can happen.

I don't think this is a violation. We all know what it means, but I can't see the NCAA having a rule that restricts mentioning a town or city. Now that I've said that, given the size of the rule book, they just may have something in there! lol
