Always good to hear. Do that measure arm length at these camps?

Listen to this guy

There's no smoke folks.

That's a ludicrous statement. There's definitely smoke. It doesn't mean he won't end up at ND. It does mean look at facts. There is a reality here at that is he's listening to LSU.

To honestly believe that this is about a T-shirt is pretty silly.

I think the reality is that he's a highly recruited high school senior. His hometown team is recruiting him hard.

No one but he and his family know if he's listening.

For the record I'm not sayin he won't end up at ND but it's well documented that he is actively being recruited by LSU and is listening and spending time with their coaches. Fact. Is that common for a committed player, no it's not. Some but hopefully not most of ours. Jaylon Smith was the highest rated recruit since Manti and he spent less time with other coaches than Jerry, fact. I hope he's Irish but I'm not going to pencil this one in yet.

I own a LSU T-shirt too. Just saying.

If you were a Notre Dame COMMIT, would you go to LSU camps? Would you wear it at a different camp and then have your picture taken with it (all the while knowing what drama/angst it will cause among the fanbase of a school you supposedly love)?

You'd have to be a blind homer not to see that there is major smoke here, and there has been for awhile. Doesn't mean he won't end up Irish, but it does mean ND should be vigilant. I've said it for awhile now that ND better be recruiting their 3rd lineman AND their 4th, just in case Tillery flips. It's happened to us in the past...

I thought pulling Tillery from Louisiana after such an early commitment was going to be real tough. Hopefully the staff can keep him in the fold and if not, will not get shortchanged on NSD.

If I lived in Louisiana? Yes I would. Only way to get your name out and better yourself is to go to camps. I'd say it's more convenient to go to ones in your backyard. LSU is definitely being watched under close eye, but I haven't seen anything so far that would indicate he is anywhere near from second guessing his decision.

I don't mean to offend you, but you're the biggest homer on this board (nothing wrong with that, until you start chiding people for stating true things that aren't so rosy about ND)...there's no way I see you wearing LSU gear in public (like Tillery did today) if you were an ND commit. Absolutely no way.

We've had players from Texas with TX offers, we've had guys from FL with offers from the big 3, we've had players from CA with offers from USC and UCLA, etc etc etc, and they don't consistently flirt with the local school(s) like Tillery does. Doesn't mean he'll flip, but it sure does mean ND better be ready with a back-up plan.

As for the bolded, you need to read this thread through again. And if you still don't see any smoke, then I'll put these comments in the same category as when you said we were the front-runners for Malik McDowell. All good though...

He's not going to LSU just for camps. He has been there when he is not participating in anything at all. Les Miles has come to see him and Jerry meets with him, and now both Jerry and his mother have been spotted wearing LSU gear lately. If that's not smoke, I don't know what is.

There is defintely some smoke, but not enough for me to be freaking out about (not that you are N.D. in LA). It is disconcering that Les Miles still visits him, but he loves Notre Dame and still communicates a lot with Barnett and Hoge. He also is coming up in the summer and will be taking an official visit. He also has all ND Sheets (supposedly). There may be pressure and he may be questioning yet I think once he gets back on campus we will not have many worries.

I will look into this.

Too bad he can't make it for the BG game. Any idea when he will actually visit? I thought him and Blake were going to try to make it at the same time.

Hopefully hanging out with his future QB this summer will help keep him in the fold

I don't mean to jump you here but you really have to work on being a little more accurate in what you say, well I guess you don't have to do anything really. However, it's hard to take you seriously when you consistently post this stuff. We're all ND fans and scream it at the top of our lungs but there is a reality that we should and want to talk about and you seem to act like it doesn't exist.
