Old Yeller ...

I remember my reaction to the ending of Old Yeller. Tears may have been involved. Granted, I was only 5 or 6 at the time. I jumped to my feet and shouted something along the lines of "Look out, old Yeller, – run!"

I hadn't thought of it until my son, then about 4, blurted out "Don't shoot the doggy!" at the end of Dances With Wolves.

The child is father to the man ...

The Pawnbroker with Rod Steiger did not make me cry but profoundly moved me, changed my world view and to this day haunts me.

No movie tore me up like We are Marhsall... from like ten minutes in to the very end... and when Fox breaks down while alone in the locker room after the final win ... gosh.

When they have to execute Michael Clarke Duncan....and also when they're telling what happens to the little girls...I teared up, I can't even lie!

Gotcha... I really liked that film but it never struck me as an obvious tear jerker... I was just curious.

Gladiator, the ending is one of the best ever. The music and the sentiment.
August Rush, moves me a lot, not to tears but close.
Rudy, Obviously totally duh.
Braveheart, of course.
Dances with Wolves, when Wind In His Hair is on the cliff shouting to Kevin Costner (Jon Dunbar), "Don't you know that you will always be my friend?"

That'll be it for now

Dances with Wolves, when Kicking Bird is on the cliff shouting to Kevin Costner (Jon Dunbar), "Don't you know that you will always be my friend?"

That's not Kicking Bird... that was Wind In His Hair... but anyway, I've been up through the Black Hills and the very cliff he shouts off has (had) a big sign on it noting the spot...

Yup fixed. Thats what I meant just brain freezes. No kidding?? Wow that had to be amazing, I'm way jealous. I didn't know that they had a plaque for it. Surely deserves it. Of all scenes in all movies, that is right up there.

Actually, his name, as ACamp said, is Wind in His Hair and he keep saying, "do you not know that I will always be your friend".

shu-mani-tu-tonka-obwa-chi does mean Dances with Wolves, but Wind In His Hair is calling out to him as his friend.
Here I'll find the video, totally worth watching;

I had some tears. Anything that has emotionally charged music like this one chokes me up. Robin Williams is a douchebag in this one. Great movie though.

Yeah, the first time I watched it, I may have teared up, don't remember clearly. I thought Robin did a good job playing his part, obviously you sorta hate his character but, to me, that means he played it well.
And yes, music is everything for me in movies and elsewhere. The music good = good movie. If Avatar had a quality good soundtrack, it would have been waaay better imho.

Agreed 100%. It's one of the reason's FNL makes me tear up all the time. Great story and writing but that damn music with the clear guitar. So good.

I'll have to check that one out again. I don't really remember it but vaguely remember the moving music. Ty, I look forward to watching it.

I'm not gonna lie. There's quite a few movies that have tugged at my heart.

The Green Mile
Rudy
Hoosiers
The Passion of the Christ
The Notebook
MASH (Last episode)

There's many more but these are the ones that come to mind.

I think the only time I cried during a movie/TV show was the Friends finale.

I binged watched it so I never had a change!
