So this happened in Philly today not too long ago. No one injured, but still scary to me considering I am flying Saturday.
Wow... I'm at the airport about to get on a US Airways flight back to Buffalo. My usual layover is Philly, but this time it is randomly DC.
Multiple news outlets reporting that there is a strong likelihood flight 370 is at the bottom of the Indian ocean.
I would believe that before the terrorist hi-jacking theory.

Correct me if I am wrong, but if it ends up in the Indian Ocean, doesn't that mean that it was hijacking, automatically. Isn't that hundreds, maybe a thousand miles in the wrong direction? And aren't their indications that the plane was flying toward checkpoints, something only someone familiar with commercial flying would know?

ahhhhh The Langoliers, movie freaked me out as a young one
That's how I understand it. If that's the case, sounds possible that it was hijacked and something went wrong. Maybe a hero passenger(s) knew what was going on and decided to take out the terrorists and inevitably the plane while was was over the ocean?
Who knows. Would be awfully dramatic.
I mean, if there's no hijacking and the pilot(s) were having trouble, you don't change course to go over the ocean. You find a strip of land to try to drop down so at least it's possible to save some of the passengers.
First, the data reporting system was shut off at 1:07 a.m., The Daily Mail reported. Then, the transponder was turned off, at 1:21 a.m., right after the Malaysian Airlines pilot told traffic controllers: “All right, good night.” Shortly after, the craft, a Boeing 777, changed its path and headed west — toward the Indian Ocean, authorities said, ABC previously reported.
These details lead investigators to believe that the communications devices on board were “systematically shut down,” ABC reported. U.S. authorities are now “convinced there was manual intervention,” and the plane’s disappearance is not due to an accident or malfunction, The Daily Mail said.
Hard not to think members crew had to be the ones behind that.

Not to be insensitive, but this is going to make an amazing movie some day.
tom hanks will star in it! take it to the bank
I hate Reagan Airport and Dulles.
Are you serious? Reagan is awesome.
Dulles I hate with the fire of a thousand suns.
I suppose I should clarify, its more just this area that I can't stand. It's like a sinkhole of hate; everything around it just gets sucked down.
