He's a really smart, and seemingly mature kid who has his head on as straight as could be. And his uncle is a ballar.

ND feels good about where it stands with Reid. Obviously the biggest threat is PSU. The family also talked a good amount about how similar his HS is to ND. That seemed to be a selling point.

Got to give Loy some credit here, after his interview with Reid a week or two back he said that Reid's favorite part of his upcoming trip was going to be talking scheme and football with BVG. And it turns out he was right. Reid was very impressed with BVG. Reid is a self proclaimed football junkie, he loves watching tape and learning about football. He plans on taking his OV's but I really like our chances here. To the point we all discussed when Barajas pledged to PSU about whether high pressure recruiting is the right thing to do or way to go. John told Loy that the staff didn't use any sales pitches and weren't trying to sell the program and he really enjoyed that. The school sells itself. They seemed very "genuine."

That's awesome. Hopefully this means he'll be turned off by Franklin's (perceived, if not very real) pressure and salesmanship. Worried about Franklin + PSU more than Franklin + Vanderbilt, particularly with those Northeast / Mid-Atlantic guys we've had success with recently.
