Another instate OL who will be at the ND Junior Day on March 1st. I like his frame and tape a bit more than some of the other mid-level ranked targets.

God Damn Chatard has 2 D1 6'6" tackles? That's insane.

Should be a good year for them lol.

TJ on II did post, however, that ND is looking for just one more OL in this class, and it will be at the OT spot. Unfortunately that may lead to us not being a landing spot for good Guard type or tier 2 tackles during this cycle, as we will likely target 2-4 tackles we really like and pursue them hard, with the first to commit getting the last spot.

Unless Solomon or some others really blow away the staff, or we miss on several other guys, hard to see Solomon, McCann, and the ilk fitting into the '15 class with the current OL numbers.

Christian said that he went from liking ND to loving ND and is really trying to earn a scholarship. He fits into the immediate commit if offered crowd. He'll return to camp at ND.

gonna root for the kid, but many ships will need to have set sail before he gets an offer imo

If only there was a way to gain more scholarships for next year. Like if under performing players just up and left, or somehow committed some infraction worthy of sending them on their way. Coach, you got anything?

Kids large and going to get a little bigger. I remember another Chatard kid who ended up performing above everyone else's expectations.

Per Scout: The article is free. Learned a lot more about his "dream school". He will be back from a summer visit and camp.

I can't evaluate OL on film at all and can't tell who is good and who is bad. But I hope everything works out for this young man

If he camps well, it could the 2015 version of Bonner

not with only 1 O line spot remaining

It's conceivable that he gets an offer. 2 years ago we were in a huge OL crunch when Carrico and Nichols went down for their careers. If 1 current OL meets an unfortunate injury, I would hope the staff would extend an offer here to back fill the OL and keep good relations with an in-state powerhouse.

Why would he be a prefer walked on when he has 10+ offers?

weve had others turn down scholarships. maybe not as many. didn't hurt to ask, as clearly someone else wondered as well.

I am just thinking out loud not to many kids will pass up full rides. I am pretty Joe Schmidt is the only one who has done it on the ND roster.

schmidt only turned down air force and cincy though right? this kid has big10 offers? I doubt he would turn them down unless he was mad keen on ND and his family could afford it
