Just saw this online, and this is a heck of a deal. Humble Bundle is doing a Cid Meier special. You can get Civ III complete, Civ IV complete, Civ V with expansions, as well as his Ace Patrol, Railroads, and Pirates all for $15. Check this out. You need to have Steam and this might be the last day, but it works. I just added all of these games to my Steam account, PLUS your purchase goes to fight world hunger, very cool:

I cant beleive its been so long since we have discussed video games! Where do i start...

The demo that is out right now for Titanfall is pretty fukin cool. I'll be honest. I have a hard time playing fps anymore. IMO the genre has been completely exhausted. There hasnt been a mind blowing shooter in forever it seems like. The only time i play a shooter is when i am at a friends house and we are just waiting around to go do something, we will play a shooter to kill the time. Back to Titanfall. Its a breathe of fresh air. The maps are solid, the ability to double jump with a jet back is fun, and... oh yeah, you also get this giant fukin robot guy that you get to control in the middle of online gameplay. Its freakin awesome!!! And NO, its not just like a killstreak reward in COD. Because everyone in the game is eligible to get their Titan and you can choose when you want to use it. Again I'll sayit, its a nice breathe of fresh air. I haven't bought a next gen system yet, and this game is Xbox exclusive. I am a DIE HARD Playstation fan. I mean diehard. And this game is one, that will make me consider buying an XBOX over a PS4. Or maybe i will just buy both. In the long run, ill probably get both. Regardless, check out the demo, i highly recommend it.

Next, has anyone played the new Theif that just came out? If you have, is it any good?

Lastly, are there any Assassins Creed fans still lingering the IE netherworld? I am absolutely going crazy waiting to find out where the next game is going to take place. Like the last 2 games, there has already been 3 solid leaks, but all of them appear to be fakes, made by trolls.... I really would like to see the next game take place in Victorian England, or the French Revolution. I would be through the roof it we get either of those. We should be hearing from ubisoft any day now.

I wonder if they'll ever go BACK further and do a story in ancient times...

I'm playing FIFA 14 on the PS4, and Metal Gear Solid SoL on Vita....

I'm sticking with NCAA14 on PS3. With the future of college football video games uncertain, I'll never get rid of my PS3 or my NCAA titles now.

I also just picked up Elder Scrolls: Oblivion, but I've held off on getting started with it because I'm trying to replay the Assassins Creed series first. I'm on the first game, just trying to blast through it so I can pick up ACII. It was my favorite by far. I played AC, ACII, Brotherhood and half of Revelations all when they first came out, but the map and the feel of the Renaissance in ACII was outstanding. Then I'll pick up ACIII and Black Flag, neither of which I have played at all yet. I'm OCD, so I'll be agitated if I don't play the whole story line before picking up the newer titles.

Black Flag basically showed us that Ubisoft has no problem going backwards in time.

One location that keeps poping up in leaks and rumors is is Ancient Eygpt... There is a rumor going around that the Ubisoft project called OSIRIS was suppoed to be the next Prince of Persia game. There are 2 screen shots that leaked 2 years ago... to me it looks like an AC game. Ancient Eygpt isnt on the top of my list in terms of location/period but Ill take it.

Also, one of the comics that came out potentially could set up a game in Ancient Rome during the height of the Roman Empire. I would absolutely love that.

I haven't played the new Thief, but I played the old one a bit. Some people won't care for it as it's not a hack and slash type game. Thief is entirely about stealth, and typically if you're caught you're in a deep world of [Mark May]. That means sticking to the shadows, moving very slowly, not a lot of fast paced action. I enjoy it (Play a lot of Stealthy games/characters in other games like rogues, or thieves/assassin's in Elder Scrolls), but it won't be a cup of tea for others. Complaints I've seen online regarding Thief revolve around that slow paced/stealth aspect.

As far as Assassin's Creed, I haven't played any of them since the first one. My buddy has them all, he really likes the series. For me, it just got kind of boring after a bit. Seemed like way too much time was spent climbing, at least more than I cared for. Kind of like too much time sailing in Zelda: Wind Waker.

ACII is one of my favorite games of all time.

Every year I used to replay each game just in time for the new on to come out. Last year, i didnt make it in time for Black Flags release, mainly because AC3 just pisses me off so much. I honestly love every game they have made except for AC3. Its great on its own, and it did alot of great things, but there are basic story flaws in AC3 that irritate the shit out of me. There were holes in AC3 that simply are present in ANY other AC title. The entire reason why AC4BF didnt out sell AC3, is becasue everyone hated AC3.

That being said, you still have to play it atleast once. It deserves that much.

I am going insane trying to crack the hint that the producers gave us for AC5. Im foaming at the mouth.

I played the most previous Theif game. I def enjoy the steath game. I love how you can choose different ways to complete your objective, and that each stage can be traveled differently. I may go pick up a used copy in a week or so.

I highly suggest at minimum that you play ACII. Its the best game in the series, and its 100x better than the first AC. AC4 is the second best in the series.

Yeah, I'll probably borrow them from my buddy at some point, as they keep making sequels like hotcakes for that franchise, so they must be doing something right.

I am thinking about it... I only have so much time for story based games, maybe one or two a year... so I'm pretty selective with them... I play mainly shooters and sports games.

You're right on the money. When I went back to pick up the first AC at gamestop recently, the worker told me that the first one was nothing but climbing, beating people up, assassinating someone, repeat. I had played it when it was new and "revolutionary," so it was amazing back then, but replaying it after playing the others has made me realize just how repetitive it really is.

So much this ^
After a bad experience with the first game, ACII will melt your mind with the landscape and the storyline.

I havent bought a shooter game since COD MW 3. That game was so disappointing. SOOOO SO SOOOO DISAPPOINTING. It still pisses me off just thinking about it. I basically just play the new shooters at my friends, try it out a little, then i will go rent it and get my fill for a while and then that'll be it. Shooters have lost their flare to me i guess.

I mainly only play story games now. Last year it was Dishonered, GTA5 and AC4. And right now i literally havent played much of anything. Just waiting for Watch Dogs i guess.

Ghosts was a very pleasent suprise... I bought that just because i wanted more than one game for PS4... there were some legit jaw dropping moments in the story mode visually speaking... and the end was decent enough...

Oh, and it has bots in multi player, which is a BIG plus for me.

I didnt finish the story mode when i rented Ghosts. In the past, i never bought the COD games for the story mode. I used to love the online play. I will say that ghosts online maps were cool. Better than MW3 and BOPSII IMO. Just not enough appeal anymore. I would love if they got the team who made the MW2 maps back together.

idk if the visuals/processing matched on 360 or ps3 honestly... there were a couple of moments were so much was being processed at once I thought, "Yeah the ps3/360 couldn't handle all this"... at least not without having serious frame rate issues.

I'm balls-deep in the Great Uprising, like any true Nord and Son of Skyrim.

Silence that traitorous bastard… Everything all of Tamriel has, they have the Empire to thank for.

You Imperial dogs tucked tail and are nothing more than puppets to the damn Thalmor! The Nords have always been used as cattle to fight the Empire's wars. By the Nine, it's time to throw off their shackles and fight for Skyrim!

Whats Great Uprising? I ve never played Skyrim.

It's a civil war that goes on in game. You can either join the Empire, a fading monarchy that lost what strength they once had with the death of the Septim line, or you can join the Stormcloaks, the Sons of Skyrim. They aim to drive the remnants of the Empire out as well as the Thalmor (Elves) that now hold the Empire's leash.

Such treachery… Ulfric Storm cloak is nothing but a war mongering murderer hell bent of twisting the simple hearts of Nords for his own personal gain. Go ahead and trade “tail tucking bastards” from regions away for a power hungry, insane, War Lord in your own backyard… just don’t come crying to us Imperials when your livestock is burnt and your family lies dead in the streets!!

I always wanted to get this game... but i just dont know if i am going to like the gameplay. Is it a true RPG or is it action rpg? Do you get to control and run the guy around and actively fight?

If you mean is it Final Fantasy, then no... you walk around and fight actively...
