Per Adam Gorney at Rivals. Recently visited USC and left without an offer. Will visit ND some time in March. Gorney says that I think there is legitimate interest here especially after USC decided not to offer.

Okun talks top six

After watching this video, I don't think he is coming to ND. Obviously I'm probably looking into this interview a little too much, but I didn't get the vibe that he'll be willing to be that far away from home and his comfort zone.

He made a comment that he would rather be comfortable than get a world class degree.

I don't know whether to laugh or shake my head.

This isn't sour grapes but TJ has been saying for at least a few weeks and reaffirmed it today, that we're lookin for a OT with the final OL spot this cycle.

Maybe, but how sad is it that he doesn't care about his future?

He just accepted a full ride to a major university. It seems to me like he has a decent future as long as he stays out of trouble. People choose to stay near home at the expense of a world class education (like me, hi) all the time. People make it life without going to ND or Stanford. Shocking but true.

I'm thinking if anything, it is more likely that Okun is sour grapes.

Who are we really looking at for OT? we haven't been giving out too many OL offers lately. Obviously there is only one spot left so the staff can be picky, but who have we offered that is expected to be a OT?

He's going to get a full ride from most any school, but I get what you're saying. I took it more that academics isn't a priority.

Yeah I know what you're getting at I didn't mean to come off rude. It just bothers me when as a board we act like ROI and academic ratings are the only consideration that should matter. It was more of a general gripe than an attack on your post.

Fruhmorgen and Rosene come to mind. Hiestand's been picking with his offers (rightfully so considering it's the last spot)

Is Robertson from Don Bosco an OT prospect for us too? I know his 247 profile says guard, but he is the only OL offer that comes to mind that has been recent.

Probably both. I imagine the short laugh followed by the sigh and head shake, but it's really dealer's choice; so long as there is no quacking involved.

According to TJ he's on the list. I believe I posted the list he gave in the 2015 master list thread.
