I'm confident. Like, MSU-doesn't-have-to-be-full confident.

But that's just me.

So any word on how it's going? Did his parents come with him?

We have a really good angle to sell with the academics. We fit everything he is looking for. I'm just worried about him being bored mid-week, and that we don't have any longstanding relationship. I'm confident that if MSU is full, we absolutely land. If not, we might still haev a good shot because he's a priority for us.

Yet we bang on kids for picking a coach and not the school, right?

Okay, I will take a crack at it. Il is a fine school. A big school, and it is the cradle of Kinesiology, but as far as the football part of the equation, it is where coaches go to have their careers die. It is the graveyard of coaching careers. It will remain that way. What an ugly way to spend your Saturdays, relatively speaking.

Except for the Kinesiology part, it sounds like you're describing IU.

Visit complete. ND made a major move. Drawn even with MSU. Per Loy.

CBK is so hot right now.

Thanks. Do they give more than ISD did? ISD just got a brief comment with him boarding the plane where he said it went well.

Loy hasn't spoken to him yet but hopes to later. I assume Loy's comment that ND made a major move and drew even with MSU was based on something he heard from the football office or whoever his inside sources are, but he didn't say.

I think I would prefer Cage over Garnett though, Garnett may have a better first step

It seems as though could be a 1 or a 3 technique whereas Garnett would be exclsuvielly a 3 just by measurables.

Right, my reasoning too. Maybe the rationale is that we already have Mokwuah, a pure zero or 1 technique, in the class so they would rather have a pure 3 tech to go along with him rather than a hybrid guy like Cage.

Personally I like the hybrid guys because the offense can't tell what you are doing by what personnel is on the field.

I agree also, many of the SDE's can go inside and play the 3 as well when we go into a 4 man line. The defense seems to be built on flexibility

Having grown up close to U of I...I completely agree. What's sad is the amount of people who refuse to believe that it's true.

Just as long as none of them have a bead on me in their sniper scopes, we cool!

II tried to reach out to him as well and he didn't answer. Considering he starts his Missouri OV, basically right now, we probably won't get any updates from him until Sunday night into next week.

after watching both Cage and Garnett's film, I think they're pretty even and the one that does something a little better than the other is so marginal that everything's going to be a wash anyway. so I'm going to take the bigger of the two kids and go with Garrnett as my preference.
