He seems to be making himself a lot of money recently. I love it.

Not bad for a 3 star with short arms.

Kelly and crew are developing these guys. It has to be a major selling point going forward.

He was a 4 star on rivals but was the 22nd best OT in that class according to them.

Monday's North Team Senior Bowl Practice Report, NFL Draft - DraftCountdown.com

With a number of big names opting to decline their invitations, some due to injury and some by choice, Notre Dame OT Zack Martin entered the week as one of the top prospects in this years game. It’s still very early but so far Martin has lived up to that billing. A four-year starter on the blindside for the Fighting Irish, Martin doesn’t necessarily look the part of a stud left tackle prospect but as they say looks can be deceiving. Martin checked in at 6-4⅛ and 305 pounds with 32¼-inch arms, 9¾-inch hands and a 76⅞-inch wingspan. On the face those aren’t eye-popping numbers and the relatively short arms are of particular concern. With that said it’s important to remember that just last year Justin Pugh was selected in the Top 20 overall with eerily similar measurables. Many feel Martin may fit best at right tackle or perhaps even kick inside to guard at the next level but so far he has more than held his own on the left side and excelled against top competition such as Stanford DE Trent Murphy. If Martin continues to perform well the rest of the way it will no longer be a question of if he’s a first rounder but rather how early he might come off the board in round one.

Tuesday's North Team Senior Bowl Practice Report, NFL Draft - DraftCountdown.com

OT Zack Martin, Minnesota DT Ra'Shede Hageman and Pittsburgh DT Aaron Donald were standouts yesterday and all three continued to put on a show in Mobile. In fact, Martin is arguably the best player in attendance and could very well be the first 2014 Senior Bowl participant selected on Draft Day.

Here's a guy that's definitely not regretting coming back to school for another year at this point. He's only gotten better and turned himself into what sounds like a 1st rounder. Though he was good last year I don't think he was going to go in the 1st round with all those other Olineman.

Trent Murphy should have stayed at home, Martin will make him look foolish all week

Hate smack talk because it always seems to come back and bite me, but...seriously, Trent? You didn't get enough in November?

Draft buzz continues to build around QB Jimmy Garoppolo - NFL.com

Wow:

Draft's No. 1 tackle could be from ND
Notre Dame's Zack Martin might be the best tackle in this year's class. Texas A&M's Jake Matthews has kind of been given that spot, but Martin is showing this week that he has a strong case for that title.

A couple of other offensive lineman that have caught my eye this week -- Clemson's Brandon Thomas and Michigan's Michael Schofield. Thomas is a tremendous athlete, and his future might be at guard. I like what I've seen from him. Schofield is playing guard, but to me he looks like more of a right tackle. He never received that much attention at Michigan with so many eyes being focused on OT Taylor Lewan, but I think Schofield is doing a nice job this week and could help his stock.

Can't believe it took this long for so many 'experts' to come around on Martin. Where he gets drafted relative to Lewan is one of the most intriguing things in this draft to me. Basically polar opposites as prospects.

Just wait til the teams do the interview with him and realize he is a phenomenal human being and very intelligent. Top 10 pick!

most versatile OL in the draft...can play all 5 spots imo and this goes way too much under the radar.

we will see him off the board for sure in the 1st round and most likely the first half of the first round.

Zach Martin = Joe Thomas
I was thinking Bryan Bulaga from Iowa. Pretty good comparison in my opinion. I think Martin may actually be a little better in pass protection, but overall similar prospects. Funny thing is that Bulaga played at a different position before eventually moving to left tackle for the Packers. I believe when all is said and done Martin will end up at left tackle in the pros as well. Consistency is well thought of in professional football, and if Martin is anything he is just that.

Finally maybe he can be the first Irish selected in the draft, and it would be very deserved.

Very possible. He's the only one of ND's big 3 that had a dominating '13. Either way, it's going to be a fun draft with the possibility of 3 first rounders.

The thing which has always surprised me about the ignorance by commentators about ZMart is that while they were {lazily} regurgitating their non-think about "short arms", they were missing the freakishly great physical attribute which sets him apart. It is his "feet". Fantastically quick, staccato-pumping and center-of-power re-adjusting, throughout all the punch-and-manhandling which goes on during a rush, we almost never see the rusher get outside Zach's width of physicality... therefore, unless Tommy would himself drift around that wall's edge, the rusher had no chance.

Zach can out-power-dance anyone of any size, and simply flatten anyone of small size. He IS a left tackle, despite the arms we always hear about. The pros may shift him, but they will do so only because they themselves cannot overcome their own blinders about arm length.

would be a good year to go and attend the draft as an ND fan alright.

Every recent mock draft I've looked at today has him in the first round (along with Nix and Tuitt). As someone else suggested, I'm strongly considering attending the draft. I've always wanted to and this would be the perfect year to do it.

Scout.com: Random Thoughts From Senior Bowl

I learned that Zack Martin is not only talented but versatile. This highly rated offensive lineman from Notre Dame showed he can play tackle and guard. He was terrific at both spots on Wednesday. He’s tough and very physical in the run game. He can drive people off the ball. In pass pro he showed a good base, the ability to slide his feet and mirror defensive ends. Being a swing player could enhance his draft stock even higher.
