Interesting. Isn't it a little odd to say 'if you know someone, you can get in'? I'd prefer it to be, 'if your really good and prove yourself, you'll get in', you know?
Also, why jump down the ranks of NFL to the college leagues at the same position? Is he that good of friends with Kelly?

(Man is it frustrating having to take 20minutes to write a post and reread it 30 times because we all know Dshan is in the thread. LOL :D )

O/U on # of times someone here suggests that Matt "cram it up his cramhole" when EG throws his first interception?

Maybe Matt will be kind enough to change his name to Peter, just to help us out.

I really like the NFL backgrounds BK has added to the staff. Can help a little in recruiting while bringing NFL coaching experience.

I also like the fact that he has worked with both of them before. He knows their skill set and more importantly BK knows how they will mesh with him and the rest of the coaches. Excellent hire.

I think the three or five best things about Matt LaFleur being named QB coach"

1) Not only did he Coach up RGIII for the NFL, but he saw something in Kirk Cousins who had a rather average college career, and had him busting out statistically in the NFL.

2) His youth, NFL experience, and experience (ties) with Kelly. Kelly brought in the right guy for Everett, Malik, and DeShone! Wow!

3) His name - - - - "LaFleur!" If a name ever spoke of the tough French Canadian influence of hockey on the NHL, it is a a name like Flower in French. Flower let alone Lilly or Iris. Can you imagine Everett with a toothless smile and the legions of the Sun Kings behind him. I am aquiver.

4) This kid got to the NFL because people LIKED HIM. Because he GOT ALONG with people. Here is a guy with success at a higher level, that isn't ready yet for the next step, whose hire bodes well for congruity on the offensive staff, of which the first two years of the Kelly era had none. So Kelly brought good offensive IQ in with the likelihood that everyone will get along! #OUT_EFFIN_STANDING!

5) So this kid moved from D2 to the NFL, and didn't miss a beat. This kid is going to be able to take over the offense some day if need be, I will betcha.

I am telling you French is the solution to everything. Historically, it is the principle reason for college foreign language requirements from high school students. It is also good for getting women's attention. Great for hockey players too!

And as far as tough French, please regard the modifier Canadian. In my experience most people from Quebec's early stock are French, Indian (Iroquois mostly), and Irish. That is my ancestry and experience. I remember, years ago these lumberjacks coming in from the woods and the miners coming up from the bauxite shafts. These guys were really as tough as nails and nasty as broken glass!

I'm with Bogs. Don't mess with a French Canadian.

Hey Bogs, we might be related somewhere mate. I have French, Irish, and Scots in me. Let just say that I am big-boned haha.

If this guy is any relation to this guy, he'll do alright. Tough flower, like cactus!
