I believe the updated rules that came out in October made is so it was basically a month long Dead Period with 1/15/14 (today) being the last day.

Either way, today is still a part of the dead period. Tomorrow is the first day coaches can have in person contact with a recruit.

Yeah I'd probably use NCAA guidelines as a source of reference over trying to interpret a recruit's tweet in attempting to ascertain timelines or other information.

I was in the gold seats as well during the game and watched a drunken old lady (easily in her early 70s) get escorted out of the stadium---seriously. Also, I had an uncle (hadn't seen him in years) who was a UCLA alum. Apparently, he was watching the game on TV at home and, when he saw that play, collapsed into his chair dead from a heart attack. I shit you not.
