Yah because other teams in the country don't improve as good as the SEC does. Better pull up your zipper, the horse is out of the barn..
Be nice.

As much as it pains me that FSU won, it was high time a team from another conference won the title. At least for one year maybe the media can cut back on the SEC crap...but they probably won't.
In the west, I think Bama, LSU, Auburn, Ole Miss, and Miss St will be just as good or better.
In the east, Georgia and Carolina will be good. Tenn will be a much better team. Throw in a solid Texas A&M team in the west and a solid Vandy team in the east and I think the conference as a whole will be better.
Mizzou will not be near as good next season. And Stoops at UK is still a few years away from being competitive. Florida - who really knows. Gotta think they will bounce back a little bit.
If Bama gets Coker from FSU, then they will be right back in the mix. Their defense will be very good and their offense is loaded. If they don't get Coker, then it does become a little harder. Auburn has a lot of players returning. Mason is the key for them I think. If he stays they will be better next season. Maybe not title worthy, but they will be very solid. If, and it's a big IF, A&M gets something going on defense, they will be pretty good. They will have a solid offense, good special teams, and good coaching. And can the defense be any worse than it was this season?
looks like ND all over again
I like what Sumlin is trying to do on defense. He has started making that a priority in recruiting. If not, he will never be better than a third or fourth place team in the west. Losing JF will hurt, but he does have some capable QBs on the roster. It will be interesting to see if he can improve that dreadful defense.
Vandy has a solid corp of players and if Franklin sticks around they will win at least 7-8 games. By Vandy standards, that is pretty solid.
so when we go to the 16 team super conferences...and FSU ends up in the SEC...do they retroactively get to keep the sec natty streak alive?
Tommy, you've mentioned Coker going to Alabama multiple times. Even if he does transfer there, won't he have to sit out a year?
For those of you who believe some sec teams will rise up, while others will step back, I think it's largely irrelevant. The groupthink that many individuals have and many media outlets (writers, F-baums, cbs, espn, etc.) have means that even if, say, a&m (who I still have to point out is "sec tough," despite the fact they were never "Big XII tough"), Alabama, and Missouri (see a&m example) fall...say, tennessee, florida, and ole miss may rise. The logic then follows that the sec is still awesome. There's really nothing that can be said or done to dissuade these people from believing what they want to believe. The perception is that the bad teams are still good...and the good teams are better than anybody else.
I missed something somewhere... wtf is this red lightning thing??
