DAMN that hurts.

Stupid OSU. If it weren't for that one I could at least say that maybe he just likes warm weather. Just don't get why he doesn't like us.

It's sad when you can't edge out ARKANSAS for a supposedly academics-oriented prospect.

It just proves the Golden(ITF) Rule of Recruiting: don't pay attention to what they say; only pay attention to what they do.

Maybe he noticed we have potentially 6 DL committed. Not saying he wants it easy when it comes to the depth chart, but it is a numbers game.

I am not saying this isn't possible however he is better then have the dline commits we have.

Notre Dame isn't for everybody. Remember Ifeadi Odenigbo judging a book by the cover Notre Dame was the perfect place for him. He ended up not having a good visit, basically dropped ND from consideration and chose North Western.

Per Wiltfong the Thomas family is kinda mad about Stanford not getting back to them about his admittance to Stanford. OSU and Texas are threats but Stanford is the favorite.

Just in case anyone was wondering where he ends up. He was a boss at the Army game

Absolutely HATE that this kid is headed to Stanford. Wish he would just stay in TX.

I wish the notice of Tuitt going pro would set off some switch or whatever for Solomon to look at ND or even ND to really get after him. Oh well.

Swear I heard the commentators say it looked like he was heading to OSU as well during the all star game.

I once asked a Notre Dame prospect, who I considered a perfect fit, why he declined their offer, and he said, I related to the coaching staff, and with the athletes Notre Dame was recruiting, but the student body, they be lame, man, they be lame. Perhaps a member of the student body of Notre Dame can fill me in, why you be lame, man, why you be lame!

Did we ever have a chance? You'd figure a guy high on Stanford would also take a serious look at ND.

Lol. I'm actually surprised we don't hear this more. It's definitely true that a lot of the athletes really stand out from the general student body. ND does a great job of integrating the football players into the life of the university, but I still felt like some of the players I knew when I was in school (not all or even most of them, but some) were surprisingly lonely because they just couldn't find people to relate to, despite the fact that literally everyone wanted to get to know them.

I didn't know recruiting visits included meeting the student body. Did he get time to meet all 8,000 of them?

Along with Yeargin and Watkins, solomon was a favorite defensive prospect. But, Stanford is a good choice. When will Notre Dave recruit another Alan Page?

You might ask well ask when we'll recruit another Joe Montana.

Also, who's this Notre Dave fellow? The new QB coach?

Keep in mind, my thoughts were exclusively on defensive prospects. With golson, Zaire, and Kizer behind center, Notre Dame has a very good chance of seeing the reincarnation of Joe Montana at quarterback.
